Lost Posts AGAIN [Merged] With Stars & Posts Count Lost.

The problem is that your computer tries to save time and effort by re-using images stored in temp internet files. Eg the rating pic would have been saved on the last visit to MSE so sometimes when browsing the internet, you see old pics because your computer doesn't know to check for a new one - unless you empty the temp files

Where is the notice that was promised about these lost posts, stars etc. ?? All of that posting gone up in smoke or thin air, or whatever !!!

Erm.. who cares how many posts you've got or what your status is. It's not a competition.

It would be nice to be informed of when / if we are getting our post counts back and an explanation of why we lost them all for a second time

We have looked into this, but it seems that for the time being it is a recurring problem. We hope to find a solution at some point, but it isnt at the top of our workload as we speak.

Couldn't agree more, it is ridiculous that a "thank-you" or "nice one" counts as a post AND NO I AM NOT POSTING THIS TO GET ANOTHER COUNT !!
Perhaps the forum thingies, the ones who look after the threads, (forgotten offical title) , could decide if a post is worthy of a count, but best of all, do away with the count, and decide on another way of awarding stars etc. !! :T

Couldn't agree less!! Well, I'm not too fussed about the post counts - I know mine has changed several times but couldn't give you any exact figures. For some of us who post fun comments it is purely that - having fun, not increasing our post counts.

BUT, if this site was all 'serious' how boring would it be?!? I appreciate that some people come on here just to do some 'serious money saving' but others see this as a 'community'. People make friends, chat and have fun. There is nothing wrong with that. I imagine it may be the only conversation some people have.


Anyway, if this was a purely a serious money saving forum I doubt I would have stuck around - I'd have got bored quickly and wandered off to some shops and spent some money. Having fun whilst I'm learning and saving is what it is all about for me.
