Large Pumpkins 50p each @ Tesco

there were no 50p pumpkins at Cheriton, Folkestone T's either, but I would like to nominate T's Pumpkin dept for the marketing prize of the year!
In a box next to the 2 for £3 pumpkins were a pile of deformed, flattened, non orange and totally strange pumpkins, all with a label on that said something like " Mutant pumpkins from Outer Space" :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:

I managed to get some of the "50p pumpkins" and whilst they were not what i would call large they were big enough to be carved by OH and dd and thats all that mattered for only ds now is whinging he wants to do one so i may just have a look in aldi.

gave 3 of the 50p ones from Tesco last Tuesday to my 3 grandkids,visited them yesterday and 2 of them had gone mouldy and already been thrown out.One of them went bad before it could be carved...............

The guy in the fuit and veg. dept at our tesco said that the 50p ones arrived unfit for sale (were mushy and mouldy) so they didn't ever have any available to be sold at 50p.
