csarina - sorry H is not doing so well. Honestly don't the hospital take into consideration why he had his other medication before taking him off it.

Morning not going so well. Me and all the kids were downstairs doing some glueing and sticking and the inner pane of glass in the small bathroom window just shattered :eek::eek::eek: Not the first time that window has broken but the first time it happened we assumed it was a kamikaze bird or something. One of the downstairs windows did the same thing last year too  Am getting sick of this as it's costing around £30 to repace it each time. No signs of subsidence or the house moving, window is still in shade and heating is off so it's not a change in temp or anything.
Scared the bl00dy life out of me :(

    Hi all.

Bit of a downer - just learned that another acquaintance has split up with his wife. Not a close friend this time, but sad, nevertheless.:(

Csarina (((HUGS))) you must be stressed beyond belief.

Not a lot to report today - I've switched the yogurt maker on, and from the look of the bread situation I'll need to make some tomorrow (need the BM lifting down for me to do this). Quorn bangers'n'mash tonight for dins - Mr LW has prepped the spuds for me and left them in water, thus saving my poor paws a bit of agony.:A There's an "empty" Marmite pot, so I'll swill it out with hot water for Marmite gravy.;)

    Have a good Monday, all.

    Morning/ Afternoon,
Have decided I must be solar powered :D second day of sunshine and I'm feeling a lot better.
Washing on line and I'm going to spend some time in the garden, I need to be outside IYKWIM. DP & DS are both home so if the house isn't to their liking they can sort it out (stamps feet). Have persuaded them that we should have a soup & pudding night once a week, so we're going to try it tonight with HM minestrone soup & Nigella's choc chip bread pudding  Hopefully it will be a success as we don't usually have puddings (& the soup has meat in it, rolleyes)

Csarina sorry to hear things are not improving for OH (((hugs))) for you both,

Hugs, spoons and hi five's all round x
    Best wishes x

I could not get through to the local surgery on the phone so I went up and saw the Dr. Our GP is away, but his locum saw OH 8th Oct. I explained what has been going on and he was very kind, agreed with me that OH should not have been just taken off his steroids, but could not understand why the Antibiotics had not been given via IV or injection. I am going to ask to see the Consultant or senior registrar this afternoon and ask some pertinant questions. OH was very distressed when I spoke to him.

I am also concerned that the people going in and out of his room are not adhering to best practice when dealing with an inectious patient.....it makes me angry, they could well spread it to others in the ward.

Cannot settle to anything till I have been to the hospital, have just forced a cuppa soup down, I have to keep my strength up.................

it seems everyone had a bad sleep last night--i was like a zombie for my first 2 lessons--i had a class of complete beginners so it was a great effort early in the day!
-its an indian summer here--or as they call it locally 'meat curing time'--its sunny and quite warm ;-20 to 25 degrees--most agreeable compared to the extreme of 40 in the summer and zero around xmas.--but in autumn when it rains here with the crap drainage things get a little sodden!

İ have just found out that Friday is a national holiday here so i dont have to work, however, our cleaner changed 'her day' yesterday to Friday so there will be no peace for me at home --i am just hoping my gym is open and wont be over-crowded that day.--its just my luck i only have 2 hours work on Friday but i still have 10 or 11 hours to prepare for on Saturday!

We have just taken on 15 more students in our school so the count is 195 and no sign of slowing down--business has doubled on the total for last year when we opened--its good counting the money but its hard work teaching all these hours!
    good day to you all!
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.
  • Hello everyone,

Its very cold here today, boys have used some of their pocket money from their money boxes and bought themselves a toy in town. Also got them some more fleece pjs in primark.

Tea is sweet and sour pork with rice, DS2 is refusing to nap so he probably wont eat as he so tired.

Put some of the boys clothes on ebay yesterday and there selling well

    Take care everyone xx

    Hi folks
Bright and cold day here. Have DSS x2 up for the week, along with the oldest's girlfriend. Just been to shopping centre to get the 2 boys a jacket each. They are old enough now (at 16 and 19:rotfl:) to go and choose what they want and this meant that I could sit in C0sta C0ffee and read a paper until I was needed to give approval...... and money. Job done, they are nice and warm and i had my first gingerbread latte of the year:T. Yum.
csarina - I'm sorry to hear that your DH had such a bad dizzy. He must be feeling so fed up. But...they will sort it out and he will soon be home again with you. Thinking of you.
Tea tonight is 2nd day chicken and veg soup and then sausage and mash. The left over chicken from yesterday has been frozen in its gravy and will be a nice treat sometime for DH and me.
Goodness - I am thinking of all of you with young and not so young families during this time of hiking food prices. I can't believe how much these 3 eat! They are all skinny minnies but are just starving a couple of hours after a meal - or sooner! The fruit bowl is full though and i have lots of sandwich making stuff in so they see to themselves a lot.
Ok, the 'young ones' (I sound ancient!!) have gone up into town so I am going to put my feet up and read my library book. I have another stinking cold and didn't get much sleep last night - that's my excuse anyway!
Take care all and stay warm

Washing all dry - just airing it a bit in the TD - a friend calls hers the Ironing machine as it means far less ironing to do when its been in there!:D

DH suffering with toothache today. Hes petrified of the dentist so wont go until he's on the point of death! - had a bad experience as a child.

(((hugs))) to Csarina and DH and all in need. Off to catch up now x

Hug to Csarina and anyone with poorly family etc.

The dining room furniture and living room furniture arrived at the weekend so feel the new house is starting to take shape and feel like home.:j

Still waiting to hear about new shower etc for DDs and need to get their bedrooms decorated. Saw someone and discussed getting worktop in utility room and small clothes airer/ pulley put up there for small items as well as one in the garage to dry stuff like towels and duvet covers. DH looked  at prices but was reminded that he does not want a tumble drier, wet clothes all over the house or to get stuff dried at laundrette so not much option - also pointed out I was only asking for something his granny would have had!!!!! He got a bit quiet then!;)

Chasing round all day sorting out missing mail and shattered so will make quiche for tea and maybe potato and leek soup as everyone seems to eat that.

Ordered a coat stand for the hall so that should stop jackets sprawled all over the house etc and mirror for mantelpiece in living room should arrive later this week. Nice and sunny here but a bit chilly. Can't wait to get everything sorted out and be prepared for winter etc.
