Morning all, i'm not feeling too great today. Got wrapped up in coursework for six hours last night then had a crap nights sleep :(
My room is a balmy 15 degrees but I'm cold because I'm tired! I put my storage heater on last night as I'd planned to do uni work in here all morning today and tomorrow, it feels awfully warm to touch cosnidering it's on the lowest setting...

I have work this afternoon, then home to clean the toilet and do uni work!

where would you like to be this week--to brighten up the Monday chat!!-i would rather be along the coast sitting in my garden watching the world go by!

I would just love to be by the coast :rotfl: Sadly no sea in sight in land locked Midlands :(
Still can't complain too much (no really ;)) it's half term so get some time to play with the kids albeit with mindees in tow. It's chilly but the sun is out and we're all happy and healthy. Mind you was a wee bit grumpy this morning due to another pants night of sleep courtesy of DD :(

Anyway not much OS going on as I am working. Going to make some cheese scones today and some brownies. Tea tonight is um um erm no idea :o

H has just rung me to say they are filming Hustle outside his office in Brum. He's excited to see Robert Vaughn and Adrian Lester......bless him he's easily pleased :rotfl:

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

  • Morning All,

BRRR It is cold and frosty out there - it was like that chez moi this morining too, Mr Grumpy strikes again!:rotfl:

But I have decided to ignore all childishness, he is tired and stressed, and I am simply going to be Pollyanna and ignore it.

I am having a thorough clean out today, then going to the supermarket, then after the boys finish, we are going to collect a dishwasher. Yay for me!! £40, it works and that's that. when I am flush, and get my new worktops for the kitchen, I can get a nice one, but every single penny of that £40 will make my life easier, so it is money very well spent. Mr Grumpy will complain, but I can plumb it in myself, so I won't need to ask him for a single bit of help. So there!

I hope all your days get off to a good start too. Csarina I hope OH is OK, and that you are keeping well, and have avoided his lurgy.

    Hugs spoons and Hi Fives!

Morning all......................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one....

Frost last night, grass was white this morning when I woke.

Thankfully had a decent nights sleep, first one since Wednesday, I was so exhausted I could hardly eat my supper, but forced myself to stay up till 10pm.

No news as yet from the 'ospital told OH to ring after the Drs have been......going in this arvo to see him with a bag of stuff he has asked for, hope the runs have stopped!!

I am not going in to see him tomorrow, so will be using the steam clearner to blast our bedroom, mattress, carpet etc and also the bathroom.

The sun id out I have not been out yet but I suspect its very cold out there....bbbbbrrrrr I extended the heating for an hour again this morning. We face south so the sun will warm the sitting room.

Strange thing this morning. I went into our bedroom to open the blinds etc and the window was all steamed up, opened the guest room blinds where I am sleeping for the moment and there was no condensation on the window at all. The rad is off in our room, queer......

Well better go and do something for my living, sausage with something for supper, need to get a spud out will do mash cauli and carrots me thinks.....

    Cheers.......................

    Morning All!

It was blooming freezing this morning -4 apparently when I left for work. :snow_grin The garden looked very pretty under all the frost though :D

OH and I had a very lazy and leisurely weekend. We watched Paranormal Activity 2 at the cinema with some friends on Friday evening, which scared the pants off of me and has led to a few weird disturbed dreams the last few nights!

We pottered mostly for the rest of the weekend, planning budgets for now and for when we buy our house and taking a leisurely bike ride along the canal and through the park.

It's going to be very tight for the next few months while we finish saving the final bits up for our deposit and then will be tight for the first few months in the house as we have no sofas or washing machine so will have to get those pretty sharpish, so no more cinema trips! :p Good job I'm such a fan of the MSE forums, think all the stuff I've learnt is going to come in more handy than ever before!

Work today and then working on my uni essay this evening. OS today will be menu-planning and baking a cake for lunches/snacks.

    Have a great day folks.

Lovely leisurely (if cold) start to the morning here today - DH has been off work for the weekend and is off today, and it's half term for DD. It's so lovely seeing DH :smileyhea He's been working 12 hr days, 7 days per week for the past month or so as they are so busy at work. The extra money is coming in very handy as well given as I'm still off.....

We cleared out the loft at the weekend in advance of the loft insulation people arriving, and filled a skip with the junk other people who lived here before us left behind  It took a full day and was sooooo dusty, fortunately the kids were at my Mum's so we had the chance to properly clean up as well.

Yesterday DH was at the football in Stoke, so didn't see him for most of the day. However we let the kids stay up later last night with the hope of a lie in this morning (it didn't work ).

Today I've stripped the beds and the bedding is in the WM as I speak. Skip is being collected today and I'm waiting on Mr T delivery any time now.

Need to dismantle DD's desk as it is currently on eBay, and we have a new (smaller) one I collected last week to replace it (also an eBay purchase :o). Also have a new bed to collect for her (yep, eBay again!!!) as she has well and truly grown out of her cabin bed, so that can be sold as well. Other than that I plan on having a nice chilled out day with the family :j:T

Hope you all have a lovely day

    MMM :)

    Morning All,

Bit of a slow start here this morning, think the cold that has been bouncing about on the sidelines for god knows how long now is finally doing its stuff. Even had to resort to yucky hot blackcurrant drinky medicine last night so thats bad!!

If I could be anywhere I would be floating in the candle pool in Ragdale Hall. Went for three nights this spring and it really was heaven on earth.

Got another ten minutes then I am going to make a move, first will be the post van (we dont have a post office anymore) and I have loads of parcels to send so waiting till the last hour it is here giving everyone else a chance to get in and out. Then it will be home, clean out the fire place and get a fire lit. Its so cold here and I am really feeling it this morning.

Then I will be flying and we will see how the rest of the day turns out.

Am ever so excited tho, got tickets booked to see Saw3D at the cinema on Thursday night/Friday Morning as they are doing a special 12.05am screening and also treated myself to a big box of Yankee candles on QVC. Should not have spent the money really but hey I have done well on eB@y and every girl needs a treat now and then.

    Ok.. time to move,

Love, Cuddles and Spoons all round

Oh dear, what I feared has happend, thanks to them taing OH off his fludrocotisone he has had a very very bad dizzy, he spoke on the phone he is so depressed, it still has not gone and apprently he threw up his breakfast.

I am angry that they did not try to find a way to give him the antoboitics by IV so he could continue to take his FC........

I am going in this afternoon to see him even if I only stay for a short while.
