  • Hope no one minds me asking, but does anyone know where I can buy those dried "chinese lantern" "flowers", you know, the orange ones. I've been looking all over for some and can't find them even online. Just thought I'd tap the collective fly-wisdom x

Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

You can sometimes buy them in florist shops.

    Grass cut
    Floors hoovered

Going to wrap DS3's party present and hopefully mop the floor before I take him.

Right, I need help ~~ what to buy for a 15 year old for xmas gift, this is the youngester that lives in a village elsewhere in the world, and has very little, he does NOT have internet, so therefore, ipod down loads are out, no dvd, no cd player etc, So far I have 2 t shirts, 2 x file paper pads, / 2 x plain pads, / 1 x graph paper/ pencils / biros/ highlighters / yellow post its / last year I bought him a football and with money he was given he bought shoes for school as he only had flip flops for school, but I am runnig out of ideas, it must be fairly light, fit in my suitcase, it is hot where he lives, so no need for coats / gloves etc~~~~~~~~~~~~~ideas please.

    Hugs all round xxxx

Kazw what about a nice backpack to carry those school things in? On boots 3 for 2 they usually have science museum, national history and natural history boys sets so might be worth a look on there

Pigpen that's a thought actually the 'robotic hand' is on 3 for 2

Well another day of not a lot done, I still feel exhausted :o pleased we were only away for a few days! I've done some washing, made meals (Inc tea) done the dishwasher, folded some clean washing and been to the GP, pharmacy and co op. Oh I decluttered some time in the shower and binned some things too. I don't think being a*sed was helped by DS2 putting the heating at 28 degrees!
One day I might be more organised...........

Am all shaken now, I knew it was coming and all but am now really scared and do not know what to do with myself.

Got to start planning too as I will be laid up for 2/4 weeks after. As soon as I told mum she started reeling off things I need to organise but tbh right now I am kinda shaken.. :rotfl: stupid me..

Does anyone have a pre-operation check list or if you think of things that I should do please let me know it would be appreciated as right now I am a mess!!
