Well had an ALL day trip to the zoo with year 7 today!! OMG...so tired. Won't have any choice but to get an early night! Ha ha. Food now...then bed I think. Puppy has already gone to bed...the lazy mutt! Ha ha.

It might be more my type of school where there was a y8 dip. I was sat talking to my mate once (assistant head) in her office, the head comes in, and he says my god what do i tell ofsted about why we have a y8 dip. No joke. I suggested it was because the y7 tutor team always consisted of at least half NQTs who were full of enthusiasm but lacked experience. We were literally just dumped in expecting us to do a good job. (He used my idea anyway with O.)

I would maybe think about buddying or support for teachers new to the school whether NQT or just transferred so that all forms get the same support and encouragement. perhaps training sessions offered to NQTs on dealing with parents, what they should do to support.

Your school may be a lot better than mine was then and do all of that.

Well our school has mostly experienced teachers in the Y7 team, so I guess you were right.

Twinklie I once took a trip to the zoo and found some kids on a bench smoking...absolutely b0ll0cked them and then got them to put the cigs out et.c....only to realise they weren't ours:o

Hi guys, sadly not. DH got on fine, probate should be granted in ten days.

Just doing things with the DDs, and DH. Twinklie take it you didn't get it then? Excellent experience and good to throw your hat in the ring, I hope?

Going for a pedicure and out for lunch today as a tempting fate exercise, also it is payday so overpayment day and recalculation day.

I am starting to think my measure are not as austere as they should be!

Thankyou. The poor girl who does the pedicures went white when I told her the baby was due today, I think she thinks they just pop out with no warning:rotfl:

Am getting the back pains again, and the midwife has rung up to pester me...I am out! Lovely lunch at parents with two crazy aunts, mum and the aunts all cuddling puppy at once is probably the scariest thing she will ever have to cope with:eek:

Not great financial news, the value of house has dropped and loan to value has gone up 3% in a month, on the 70% borderline now which is less than fabulous.

Good news is we have stayed within grocery and car fuel budgets this month.
