  • Hello,

I find it hard enough to think of gifts for Christmas and birthdays so we have agreed not to do anniversary gifts and instead just go somewhere nice. With first oh we had a tenth anniversary party though, and i remember someone bringing us a tin of beans as a gift, which was apparently a joke...... with current oh we are only up to five years! I think i sound a little like liz Taylor!

Have a wonderful evening, the beer and chips sounded great,

We didn't do cards (2 = 1 bottle of wine!) or presents yet, but they will be v.small.

Happy anniversary, hope you have had a lovely day. I have told DH not to buy me expensive cards (he used to think nothing of spending £5 on one). I'd rather have a cheap card and some flowers. These I also ask him to buy the day after valentines and mother's day so they are cheaper! :D

Congratulations on your anniversary. Our 1st is later this month and it's also my parents 40th. We (my sister and I) are trying to think of a good present for them. Everything we think of centers around what mum will like and rather than both of them, but as long as mum is happy we think dad will be too.

What mortgage deal did you get? I must have missed the details.

I think I am going to fix Pammy when I come off my tracker base rate+2.69% in April. I'll reduce the term then aswell. I should hae 17yrs 9months left at that point but aiming to reduce to 15 years.

Grateful, you have a really good fixed rate. Were the fees high to go onto it? I paid £600 to secure my current tracker! That was just before I started posting here! :)

  • The fees add up to about £1500, but it still works out better than the current one.

Peonie I think I would do the same with presents.

What greater thing is there for two human souls
than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen

to share with each other in all gladness,
to be one with each other in the
    silent unspoken memories?
