You are going to be on your knees by tonight. Make sure you don't spend all night chatting and get some sleep hon.
I didn't know you could get 11kg capacity washers. Makes my 8kg one look piddly, and I was excited enough with that one. Enjoy washing the duvet. :rotfl:0 -
We haven't seen her for so shamefully long a time...
I think I'm gonna be washing half the village's duvets! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Phew, friend has left and I am all out of energy.
New WM is in and eats tons of laundry. Brilliant. Three of our house windows are in the garage - eek!
eta £30 quid of pizza express and £105 of topps tiles vouchers on their way thanks to clubcard vouchers. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Easier day today, new WM eats laundry (have I said that?) it goes round a couple of times before it starts, weighs the load and then tells you if you have used all of it's capacity!!
Popped out, dropped DD1 at a party, spent some M and S tokens, had coffee and picked DD1 and her little mate on the way home. DH calls the mate the "poisoned dwarf" since she is rude and short...a bit mean and she doesn't look like Lucy Ewing (test of your age if you get that!!).
So quite a moneysaving day. We have three windows missing from the house...and work starts on the shower room on Monday (that's the plan anyway).
The drawings came back from our favoured kitchen person, looking good, very exciting. Starts to look like it might happen now.
Don't feel quite so exhausted, but depressed realising only two weeks left of DH's hols.

Man, I was getting depressed with only 3 weeks left. LOL. Poor DH!

I don't have a clue who she is!
Kitchen sounds great, I bet it will be a transformation. Do you spend a lot of time in there? I want a kitchen diner that really is the heart of the home.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Pics are planned. We don't spend as much time in there now we have a baby who is up all evening with us, and there's a horrid concrete floor, but we will.
Watch out anyone shopping online with MrT, if I hadn't checked we would have lost £39 worth of discounts as they didn't apply them. Most of this morning wasted sorting it out. Tenner voucher as a result.
Builder has confirmed he's starting tomorrow. I am pleased but I am miserable as our rest day has turned into more chores.
Also my CC has appeared on a "hotlist" apparently with danger of fraudulent use, so I have stopped it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Builders are here and we are under a layer of brick dust - glad I hadn't dusted!
Finally nailed down the glass supplier(£50), scaffolding comes down tomorrow and baby has had his first go in his high chair.
Incredible that he was a teeny tiny baby such a short time ago.
We all went for a walk to chat to some ponies and DH is playing musical statues with the girls. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
All the home improvements will be worth it in the end. It's just not easy coping with the mess whilst it's being done. I remember coming home after a 13.5 hour shift to awful dust after the builders had knocked through from the garage to the dining room. No matter how much I cleaned it just kept appearing and settling!
Don't babies grow far too quick - I often want to freeze time.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Babies do grow sooo fast. The dust is everywhere but the space is so much bigger and really looks like it could be a shower room instead of just a loo.
Riding for DD1 today and Church activity for DD2. Also DH is going to get me a new mop, guess who ate the last one??Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
