Ouch at being on SMP! I am being paid equally over the 9 months I am off so no scary drop in pay.

The woodburner is going to look stunning!

we painted wood cladding white in the old bathroom and it made it look so much bigger and brighter. You wouldn't believe how much better it made it look.

We aren't doing any decorating Twinkle so you can safely chat to me.

And school uniform naming, I just ordered some woven name tapes from ebay quite cheaply. My plan is to do it as soon as it arrives. I want it done by next weekend. I just need to get some blue polo shirts and new shoes for my 2 and I am done buying it at least. The school uniform carries limited stock, and I got some of the last small jumpers when I went last week.

Challenge yourself Pammy. Life will be easier at the end of the hols if you are organised. :D

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
When my oldest started nursery I dutifully sewed woven name tapes into all his stuff, and again when he started school. Nowadays I find it too hard to find the time. I grab a biro and write their names onto the washing instruction label - takes 10 seconds, and identifies the clothes as theirs. Does that make me a bad mother? :o

Naming school uniform? Is that getting prepared WAY in advance? Surely this is left to the last week of hols like us normal people? ;)

I'm only talking about it at the moment, I can procrastinate for months:o

I keep umming and arring (my fave saying at mo) about painting my kitchen. It has wood cladding on some of the walls and I want to either paint it white or cream but it will be an awkward job to do.

Go for it. Washable eggshell or lovely powdery matt emulsion? Picturing it in Farrow's Cream;)

I want to convince my hubby to pull his finger out so we can move! Slightly off topic I realise, but you lot talking about the work on your houses isn't helping. LOL. How rude and inconsiderate you all are!

We are rude rude rude. Did anyone ever regret moving house??

DH got £1215 for his marking today, yay!

The !!!! ing roofer forgot to tell his scaffolder about the needs of the chimney lining people in terms of reaching the chimney, fortunately spelt out in an email from me to him, so cue lots of flapping this morning.

Sorted now, and there are about 10 people here - not counting family. I don't know whether to make coffee or take a register and give them differentiated learning outcomes :rotfl:

I started with woven, I can't stop them fraying, I'd zigzag them if I has a machine. Now I'm on to iron on ones.

go on - differentiated outcomes please.

    By the end of today,

all of you will have erected my scaffolding properly,

most of you will manage to get some work done without having me have a meltdown

and some of you will not be f***wits and will learn how to read an email properly,

And if you do that, the reward system today is I will let you have a sugar to put in your tea. ;)

Sounds fun at your house today.

Happy holidays ay? I hope it gets less chaotic as the week goes on. :o
