Had a quick look at photos but will look again later as off out now. Looks like a good space with a few options for alterations.

I wouldn't get rid of the pantry myself as that is a great space. The utility bit would bug me there, it needs to be hidden more i think if i have worked it out right. Love the aga, that definitely has to stay. What a great focal point.
  • Thanks guys, so michelle you would knock laundry into kitchen or keep separate?

Baby up every 2 hours last night - soo hot. Had lunch in pizza express with clubcard vouchers (big well done to them for the service - ice in glasses as a matter of course, offered to have my pizza ready cut up as I was b/f and eating one-handed), sent off presents to Godson and his sis, and their dog...got DD2 new trainers and DD1 new flipflops total spend £27 not bad for clarks and accessorize.

The fitters in clarks really hate it when you won't tell them the child's existing size, but if they are fitting shoes to any objective measure, then they don't need to know.

DDs have gone swimming, and its the LAST Dr Who tonight until Autumn, boo hiss.

Personally i would keep utility seperate. I wouldn't want to be looking at it as i guess the kitchen is fairly hub of the home and you sit in it a lot with the table being there.

I've never had anyone ask what shoe size my kids are currently in Clarks. They usually just put them straight on the measuring machine and then away we go. If i don't think what i hear them saying is right i query it.

I had DD's feet measured in clarkes a couple of weeks ago and they said she was still an 8g. Popped into mothercare week or so later and she wanted her feet measured in the clarks there. All of a sudden she was an 8.5 going into a 9g. That's either some fast growing or inaccurate measuring.

Does this mean no more odd conversations? :D

Afraid I can't get my head round your kitchen from photos - my brain can't do spacial information without a floor plan. But I can see that it's a weird sort of shape, with a lot of wasted space, especially where the doors are. I'm sure you'll be able to make it work better for you when you've had time to think how you want to use it.
