Bless you. I can't imagine working in a school you don't like. It's tough enough in one you do. How many days you asking to go back for? I'm too lazy to read back. :rotfl:

Also, I WANT A BABY!!!!!!! I'm getting cross now. Stupid us trying to be sensible. Screw sensible....I want one I want one I want one!!!!!

I'll send you one of mine if you like. ;) Bless you. It is hard being sensible isn't it. You are working hard now so hopefully you won't need to later.

3 days. No idea if it will be accepted, waiting to hear.

Hear you loud and clear on the fed up of being sensible thing. For what it's worth though life has been so much easier with ds2 than ds1. Knowing we have a secure relationship, home, jobs sort of and savings has meant that these past few months have been the happiest of my life.

Maybe its time to stop being sensible? Toughie though, I have had a tiny baby with no DH around, not through choice, but it is hard work and that even with family support.

courgette that's lovely you have had such a happy mat leave.

Managed to sleep 2 hours this pm, much needed as Baby did two two hour sleeps last night and that was that. DDs have been well exercised today, and the dog...need to do some shower room planning later. Also a NSD, first in ages I think.

  • DDs have gone riding with DH. Gorgeous day here. Not planning on doing too much today, except shower room planning. Seems to be taking an age. Also ironing. NSD too as riding paid for already, does that count??

New series of Lewis on this evening, loving it. Hope all those teachers are enjoying the start of the holidays?

  • Glad to hear it;)

Busy day, took children and DD2's Godmother to zoo...so not a NSD but used season tickets for most of us.

Midwife has signed us off, quite sad as have built something of a relationship with community midwives over two pregnancies, and they are lovely.

Tile samples arrived, pleased with three of them but floor tiles are wrong wrong wrong.

Must remember to flea and worm puppy tonight, what a jet set play person I am:rotfl:

  • Busy today, DDs off to Grandparents, went to register baby's birth, shopping and coffee in M and S, shopping in Mr M, visit to tile shop, chose really good floor tiles, so have all the tiles chosen for shower room.

Got puppy food delivered and spoke with roofer who we just bumped into about roof.

Washing on, dog walked. Conked out now and can't believe it is 4pm.

Shower room will have beige polished marble floor, white tiled walls with a Art Nouveau pattern border and a tiled picture rail. I will post links in a while.

Feedning baby is taking up all my time!

  • Another busy day, DH back to work, so up at 6.30. Tidied up and did some washing, put some lunch on and lo! It was midday and a dear lovely work colleague was due to visit.

We had a nice couple of hours, then somehow it was 6.30 and DH arrived home, think I lost a few hours somewhere.

NSD though, so all good and got some jobs done. HV coming tomorrow.

You forget just how much time they take up don't you. How's Thomas doing? I can't wait until baby blue can hold his own bottle.

We all could do with more hours in the day. You seem to get lots done though.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore
  • Thanks, iris. He is gaining an ounce a day, which is good I think. I am a bit unconvinced that he was really 8 lb 8 when born since I remember thinking at the time they hadn't zeroed the scales properly, and he didn't look 8lb 8. More like 7lb 8.

HV due this am, then I don't have too much to do except walk the dog, well, thankyou letters and a bit of tidying. Will try for another NSD.

We have saved a fortune in car fuel money as DH has been on paternity leave, and we will save more in Easter, and with all those bank holidays. His redundancy threat still looms, hoping it doesn't mean I have to return to work earlier.
