I know, but do i need anything else ie wire to internet or anything? (i don't have a clue, lol)

If you are planning on setting up the xbox away from your internet box then you will need a wireless adapter, like this one:

We put our wireless internet router on the tv stand, and put the xbox next to that and just run a cable to that -- you don't have to buy an xbox wireless adapter if you don't want to and have things set up in close proximity, lol.

Ethernet cable would be the cheapest option if the xbox is close enough to the router - we got a 10 mtr one from ebay for about £1.30 delivered
