I loved the comment on HDuk about the steps in the glitch process (especially how everyone will blame the 1 person who rings, thinking the site will not notice thousands of people ordering a product in 1 day!)

Yeah this one seems a bit futile, but they may offer a discount voucher and I do have to buy Gold membership in a few months so why not have a go!

Nice comment but in most cases wrong. With retail systems everything is automated and they have thousands of lines. The 'site' doesn't notice anything - it's a computer system. These things are only picked up on by the system if some developer has put code in to catch it.

Most retail buying offices only work Monday - Friday, and it all depends on how often a buyer monitors their sales.

That's why some glitches go through as the automated systems are so fast these days, despatch emails are sent and stock is picked before anybody notices.

It's never a good idea to phone customer services and tell them about a glitch.

Having said that, somebody has phoned HMV customer services and they are checking all orders on Monday so can't see this being honoured.

There was one last year for hmv,pre order for xbox points was the ones that are normally £30 ish for £6...i ordered two and they honoured them,so have gave this a bash,never expect to et them though xx
