I could join the challenge in reverse, to see how quickly I could *spend* money!!! I forgot to budget for all these little bitty wedding things, arrrgh.

I felt like that in the run up to my wedding too, like I was taking out money left right and centre and couldn't account for it anywhere!

    How are things Lara?

It was those little bits in the run up to the wedding which is why we have debt now. Think I might try a 0% application for me and NIM tonight. One of my colleagues has a husband with very poor credit rating (CCJs about 4 years ago) and she was approved for a £9500 0% Barclaycard last night!!! She only wanted £3000 to BT as well.

Ooh really? Might give that a go, have a feeling I'm paying a lot in interest at the minute and I'd rather have both CC balances moved to one so I can keep track of it better.

I know the feeling of losing lots of money in the run up to the wedding! And in our case, straight afterwards. We'd forgotten to budget properly for the photographer, and we didn't even have enough cash with us to pay him, had to borrow some of it off the in-laws!

Wow - I might try that tonight. I would like to put some of our credit cards on the one card so I could concentrate on the one card then.

I'd just like not to be wasting about £200 a month in interest!

I wouldn't even like to think what I am wasting. Much the same I would imagine.

I totted up the other week what we've spent on charges and interest so far this year. It was over £1000, which made me quite sick.

    Hi,

I hope I'm not intruding, I have been a bit of a lurker on this thread for a while and have finally got brave enough to actually post. :D

Could I be super cheeky and join your challenge too? Need a bit of a kick up the b*m to get paying off some debts and start saving. A bit of competition with you guys could be just what I need.

Hello Amy! Join in with the challenge, but if you beat me I won't be happy! ;)

Can't believe how much you've paid/accumulated in interest and charges Dinah! Bl00dy banks milking us for all they can get! _pale_
