Oh no, I rent! But, it's a weird one. They're family houses, so we pay a token rent of £50 per week. We see them as our own, because they will be one day. So none of us mind putting money into them. At the end of it, we'll benefit from it anyways as the value of the property goes up. That's why my Grandparents are willing to do the double glazing on mine and my Cousin's house. They see it as an investment into the housing company, as well as (my Grandad said) an 'investment in keeping Cinny warm' :D I feel bad for my Brother though. Mine was just a painting job, my Cousin's was 'walk in' and my Brother has to completely gut the one he picked :o Woops! I've told my Dad though, one day I'll be buying the one we live in off him. I love my little house!

That's a great situation to be in and I wouldn't mind that rent either!

That's a fabby deal Cinny, totally understand why you're happy putting money into the property since it'll be yours at some point! Is the house big enough for little Ralph?! ;)

Some people must be moving into the empty flat 2 floors above us but they've dumped some nursery furniture (chest of drawers and a baby wardrobe with cute bunnies carved into the wood) under the stairs in the hall, which is confusing since the LHA said no kids would move in, but I suppose the people could be grandparents? Anyhoo, it's been there for about 2 weeks now, how long do I leave it before claiming it and kitting out my spare room?! ;)

No neither would I! They don't fancy branching further North do they, you know, for your online Zus? ;)

I've just been insulted, nay taunted, by the treadmill in the gym! I obviously didn't run my 2.5 miles as fast as it thought I should and when I got off it said "YOU LOSE!" on the screen! Now I see why that one's always free!

Oh my word Tete, how mean of a machine to take the mickey!!!

Ooh-err just read your sig and you've got the 10k on Sunday!!! That makes the machine-taunting even worse, not exactly helping to give you a positive mind-set!

Enough room for little Ralph and a Jack :D We've got two spare rooms. One would easily fit either a bunk bed, or two singles while they're younger. Maybe even 2 small doubles. Then if they want to split then they're older there's a room behind ours that would fit a single and wardrobe. Not that I've thought this through at all. Or when I'm baking or cooking I think how awesome it'll be when we have a mini us about the place helping Mummy cook Daddys tea.

And Tete, I told them they should look at houses in different areas. And they were going for it until my Sister said 'Ooh, you can buy a place for me in London!' and they haven't taken the idea seriously since :(

Thinking of getting this for our spare room. I know it's a cheap set, but it'll barely get used so it doesn't need to be super strong. I just want something in the spare room to give it a purpose. And we can pack our stock pile into the little shelving unit so we'll look less crazy when people go up there. It's in stock at the one near my Parents' so I'm tempted to reserve it, and steal a work van to go pick it up. Hmm! ETA: I best ask OH first actually. Woops!

Ooh, I didn't know the 10k was that close Tete! Nevermind the running machine of doom. You're a machine yourself for all the different things you've been doing recently!

Ooooh your plans are going to be so scuppered if one of them comes out not having Jack/Ralph parts! Or are you going to just stick with those names regardless?!

Jack/Ralph parts!!! :rotfl: Move over tallywhacker, we've got a better name now!

I'm sure you won't need to walk it Tete, strap your poor knees up and get a neoprene support (OH swears by his!) and you'll be running like the wind! :)

Good idea to hide the scary stickpile away, the canvas stuff will be fine if it's just for extra storage.

Don't say that!! OH jokes I'll be one of those women you hear about that keeps having babies until they have a boy. :( I think Ralph and Jack might suit girls.. or Macy and Emmi! I don't know why, but I've always pictured myself with 2 little boys. Bit weird really!
