They are, haven't seen them for a few weeks so wondered where they went. The swans are always waiting in one of the locks in the canal until a boat comes along and they go through. You would think they would just go round haha. (am in doing a good job of distraction from window talk??)

If your OH has aDIY bone in his body get him a silicon gun and some sealant and do round the outside of the windows inside and out, it'll cost ya £30 to do the house and will be snug as a bug in a rug.

Just my two-penneth from experience :o My parents live in a rented place now so can't do anything anyway. We had the old stylee-secondary double glazing in the old house before the windows got done... hated it!

Anyhoo... my legs have properly seized up now after my Kinect-ing yesterday, I can barely walk, no idea how I'm going to wobble around the racecourse all night in wedges! Think I'll have to have a few drinks to take the edge off! ;)

:rotfl: Love the idea of swans waiting for someone to let them through... 'Don't you know who we are? we belong to the Queen!' :D

Yeah they were all very nice. Is one for babies up to 20 weeks so quite a small nice group and nice to moan about things to other people going through the same thing.

Sounds great - and I am sure you can all meet up somewhere else once the babies reach 20 weeks!

    I don't think it's been mentioned :undecided

Those swans sound like they've got the right idea. It's like when you purposely wait for someone else in the room to go get a drink so you can get one, or slow down eating your meal so you finish at the same time as someone else so they take your plate to the sink. When I say the general 'you' I really just mean me.

I guess it's different things for everyone with windows. The rest of the houses on the street have had the original windows replaced with uPVC double glazing. Make mine look right ratty! Actually, it's just us and the people across the way who still have single glazing.

What I've always found interesting in these types of conversations is that timber=single and upvc=double. Actually had awesome windows in the last house my parents were in as a couple...double glazed, arched TIMBER windows.

In utterly unrelated, and infinitely more fun news, I'm going to a toyshop tonight.
