Lol NIM knows all I expect is the house to be no worse than when I left, I certainly don't expect the decorating to have progressed!

Slow day at work and all my milk for my cereal escaped, so I'm going to be hungry by home time!

Pint of milk from sainsburys 50p
Wife whos not hungry enough to eat my left arm when I get in the car...priceless.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Do you not have communal office milk that you can sneakily 'borrow'?!
Anyway - on an MSE note. I am hoping to break the 14k barrier this month :)

Yey to breaking the £14k barrier! We're at £8490 excluding the car loan (just under £16,000 including it). I'd love to get under £8000 but that is unlikely to happen with me going away, and NIM and I having a romantic weekend away too. It's a lofty task but I wonder if I could make £1000 from ebay this month?! It'd be a lot of listings as it's all little bitty things!

No milk here, I don't put in to the office pot for milk as I'm only allowed to use it for tea and coffee not cereal - and that's all I'd want it for!

And well done to you too. That is a great achievement. I can't wait to get under 10k. When we are under 10k I will feel that mentally we are well on our way to debt freedom!

Well done CMD, great to hear that you're still chipping away at debt with everything else going on! new jobs and other people's management styles are always stressful, so hope it improves soon - same to you, Birdie, you're a smart cookie and they'd be stupid not to train you properly!

and fab that you got your grant application in Dinah! fingers crossed :) I don't know how you manage to keep so many plates spinning at once, but the house plans sound great. I tend to think if there are 'perfect' properties on the market now, there'll be equally perfect properties when you're in a position to buy - fate and all that...

we're struggling financially at the mo, exacerbated by the £900 it cost to get OH's aged Golf through the MOT :( but we didn't really have a choice. In sort of good news, his dad is lending us £5000 with no repayments in the short term to clear most of a loan with big monthly repayments. I feel awful that we're having to borrow *more* money, but it will free up £290 a month which will be amazing - and once our other debts are clear we'll be able to pay him back quickly.

I'm enjoying all this baby talk despite being in the 'probably not having kids' camp, but I'm warming to the idea :) Currently love the names Julianne, Indigo and Nathaniel... But probably we'd go for much more classic names. Ooh, actually I love Ava too!

I love love love the name Alfie but OH hates it.

I love that name too :D but my mum really really hates it. I know its not her choice but would hate for my mum to really dislike our name choice. I am convinced baby is going to be a boy, no idea why!

Aye I agree there will always be another great bargain, I'm just some kind of house kleptomaniac - I want them ALL!

Don't get much more classic than Nathaniel - thats a name thats in the bible. I do love that one.

Lol I expect nothing Poolie, I know he can't wait for a week of relaxation without me nagging constantly to be productive!

I love the name Nathan. I don't know if I could call my child Nathan though as we have a friend called Nathan and he is really really flaky!

I love the name Ava as well and would probably use the Irish version - Aoibhe.

Ahh I have had a bit of a pants week, super stress OH and a big row :( topped off with a cold and tummy ache! Just heading off back home for a few days. This time in 2 weeks I will be heading to the airport for Kampala!!! The good news is that I am nearly ready. Life seems gruelling sometimes. I am looking forward to a carefree summer.

Glad to hear all the good news, congrats CMD! Dinah the house plans sound great. Birdie I'm so sorry your job isn't up to scratch, hopefully it will improve a lot in the next few months.

Hopefully our wedding invitations will go to print today. Then I have just got to do a meeting with the two Revs, the wedding website design (almost all the travel and accommodation bits are written) then address and write the invites before I go. Still quite a lot really!

So far venue, accommodation, 75% of the entertainment, wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, photographer, videographer, wedding rings are sorted. So progress is being made.
