On reading this it looks like I signed up for my O2 simplicity 12 month contract just in time as I got the £15 a month unlimited data and text with 300 talk time minutes. I got this in April this year.
When it comes to renewal will I be able to say, just carry on or will they boot me off that and get me to have a new contract?
Is there such a thing as a renewal with a mobile phone contract? I thought it was a minimum length, and then you continue if you're happy...0 -

I look at plenty of videos too, being in the broadcast video industry, they're usually very small mp4 files, so you should be fine.cashbackproblems wrote: »The deal with 3 looks EXCELLENT but i never used to get a signal with them so wouldnt wana get a phone where u need signal all time!! Have they improved at all?
We checked on the 3 website, and it said our home post code was in the 'excellent' signal strength. Clive got his iPhone this morning, and the signal has been un-broken so far... You can check multiple post codes...0 -

No this isnt how it works. At the end of the contract your phone will just stop working, you need to get an upgrade, unless you speak to them and they carry on the same deal.0 -
hmmmmm, well i have just got an iphone 4 and have done 510Mb in 3 weeks and 2 days, and i'm very careful to hook up to Wifi when at home and havent streamed hardly any video...
Some Apps are VERY data hungry.. maps / gps ones etc... 500Mb for emails and Beeb news is ,mooooooore than fine, but for full functionality of all the features the phone has available it isnt much at all...0 -

Wrong! Your phone doesn't stop working!
Taken from the 3 website:
'If your contract has already run out, you can upgrade at any time. Or if you're happy with your current phone and monthly plan, there's no need to do anything. Your services will continue as normal.'
I'm sure all the other companies are the same.0 -

With o2 you cant use the phone with the sim you had on the contract, i know vodaphone and maybe 3 put you on a rolling contract.0 -

You are wrong, at the end of a standard contract you just carry on paying the monthly cost and you keep the txts/mins that your contract allowed. This continues until you upgrade or re-negotiate another plan.0 -
You are both wrong. It depends on the terms of the contract.
Orange will remove legacy benefits the moment your term expires. Can work out very expensive for the unwary.0
