No- the magic eye has nowt to do with the volume on the TV.

Yes - I know that, but press the volume key on the remote to adjust the volume, it sends an infra red signal to the tv

I can control the volume on the TV with the Sky remote.

RU able to do this for your 2nd tv via the magic eye? I can adjust the volume using the remote, but only for the main tv. As I said, i tuned this myself standing in front of the main tv with the sky box, but I can't do this with the 2nd tv as it's in a different room to the sky box

I took a second Sky remote, pointed it at second TV in another room, no magic eye attached, entered the appropriate code and then was able to control that TV.

Then I installed the magic eye, and was able to control Sky box as well.

lindabea, I have a problem with getting the volume to work on tv in bedroom. I have sky box to tv in lounge with digisender connected - other digisender is upstairs in bedroom with 2nd tv. I have been able to use a sky remote on 2nd tv and everything works with sky apart from volume control, it will not work at all. When I want to adjust the volume I have to use the tv remote!

I have tried many times to get it to work, tried using other codes etc, as it's annoying (not the end of the world!) when you have to use another remote to adjust volume!

Thank you for your reply Tobruk. As you say, it's not too inconvenient to use the TV remote to control the volume, but I find it frustrating that I can't tune the sky remote - perhaps it's more so that I don't know the reason for it not to work. I just hoped someone on here may be able to give me a reason which I think may be due to something technical.

Lucylucky - I'll try what you suggested. I have been keying in the code while the magic eye is attached - perhaps this may be causing some interference.

I'm totally with you on what you say - I was trying to agree with you how frustrating it is not knowing what is wrong as I think it is something simple and when I eventually find out what needs to be done ... I'll kick myself!

I do hope someone can hopefully say what the problem is so that I can fix it ... and I can happily play with the volume control with the sky remote!
