Problem with video player

  • Oh I had connected it to AV2... explains that bit. Was testing the scart sockets earlier - completely forgot.

Picture shows on either AV1 or AV2 depending on which the scart is attached to. AV1 has no options to go sideways which AV2 does, which changes it to AV2-s-video (or so a sign on the left hand side suggests).

So all options still show pictures in black and white... although not quite sure that the s-video option is being removed.

Its doubtful, but I suppose its possible that Pans no longer allow composite connections through scart

Have you had a look through the videos settings to see if theres anything you can change there? (And its definitely connected to AV1 on the video?)

It's connected on the AV1 for the video too.

I don't think this is an issue with the 'new' tv as this happened with the old Panasonic (CRT) TV too. I vaguely remember playing around and sometimes being able to get the colour suddenly back - which I do think was changing the s-video to RGB or composite. Then trying desperately to find it the next time when somehow the settings got changed...

I think you need to try it with another TV.

If the problem persists, it's the VCR that's faulty.
  • It did happen with my old tv too although it was fixable via the remote. Which I assume is the s-video to RBG/composite thing mentioned earlier. Just can't seem to change it on this tv...
