Ticklepenny...the menu is lovely...a good italian...it will give people a rest from seasonal turkey...are you having any budget on drinks...possibly for the toasts after the speeches...or is it a really lovely informal day.
you havent mentioned transport in your budget...a big fancy flash car might be nice but if it doesnt appeal then contact your local taxi company who will have a few nice cars and ask them to put a ribbon on...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

Im getting married in 3 months!! ive had 4 months since planning in september!. Its totally doable.
I found the venue for cermony and recpetion (set up etc) 55 people and food- £1000
Dress £110 off ebay!
Cake £70 (not too much when small party)
photographer £450
Gotta do the rest but its doable.
I would suggest finding a venue like a= club, golf, yought etc that you could hire out. It a village hall.
If i were doing it in england i would have used the yought club my mum works at which looks over the river.. but im doing it in the USA so dont have access to things from here.0 -
Giz - Right well we have decided to have the meal at an Italian restaurant so regarding decorating tables I was gonna knock up a couple of these
with some fake red and white flowers and possible weave some red and white ribbons into it. They would then be the table centres.
Favours - havent made my mind up yet.... I may just do a sweet selection like drumstick, lovehearts and parma violets lol.
ShellsuitOH says he's happy as long as I'm happy and that am beautiful no matter what I do with my hair and could shave it off if I wanted..... very lovely and sweet but not helpful lol. I am thinking black, just because its been mousey brown far too long lol. Oh and am not willing to buy expensive rings as we dont "do" jewellery.
Right off to go pick up OH from work..... will be back later to finish replies lol

LEJC - Am putting a ribbon on my mums car to take me to the venue.... December weather not planning on having many car pics so not too bothered. Drinks budget will depend on food spend lol If everyone chooses the cheaper dishes then we will do toast drinks and a few bottles dotted about, if its the more expensive food then just a drink for toasting. Am a bit begrudging paying for alcohol for the whole evening as am pregnant and a lightweight anyway so wont be drinking, but dont mind paying out for one or two drinks.
Rockinbikergal - I will be picking your brain for flowers!!! could I be cheeky and ask for a look at pics? (just plain nosey me!).
Other than that I am hopefully going to Country Baskets tomorrow to look at flowers and such like, as I have managed to blag a trade card so get it all at trade pricesYay!
Giz and Sammy I am 100% certain I will be needing help as I havent been to a wedding since I was 8 and I was recovering from chicken pox so hated it (plus I was a tomboy in a puffy pink bridesmaids dress). So I know what I think I need..... but there may be many gaps in my thinking :rotfl:
Utopia - Originally I was going to have a big wedding 20 miles down the road in a country club (cheaper than it sounds as room hire was only £300 for 24 hours!) But because its short notice, I'm 5 months pregnant and we're just going for small and close to home instead. I must say having looked at the internet for inspiration dress selections are much greater in the US than here especially if you are plus size and pregnant!DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Gratz on setting a date. Have you thought about invertations?
I prefered the first hair pic.
Loved the dress
Menu looks yummy.
You do look organised
Will you want extra servettes to let people take slices of the cake home with them? Dont forget a pretty knife for cutting the cake too:D:heart2:Married 03/09/2005

Quick question..... regarding shoes (I love shoes).
I will be 7 months pregnant at our wedding so I dont want to wear proper high heels (4 inchers) as I think it will kill me.... however would it be sensible for me to wear 2 inch heels?
I have size 8 feet and I just dont look right in a dress with flat shoes, infact my feet look clownesque. Apparently 5ft8 isnt proprtionate for size 8 feet well on me anyway.
So far I have spent about 3 hours obsessing about shoes.
OH on the other hand has been an absolute genius and suggested that instead of wedding favours we have christmas crackers! I love it, so have discovered a place that does personalised christmas crackers. Yay!
Have also found bridesmaids dress for DD here I like it and think its prettyDS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
