History
OH proposed in May 2008 and we were planning on getting married August 2010 with a big do (£6k 150 guests), however in October 2008 we found out we were pregnant and DD arrived May 2009. I put on way too much weight whilst pregnant and so decided I wanted to lose some before we got married so we set a date for August 2011. Amusingly we found out we were pregnant again July 2010 and so decided that with 2 little ones it may be best to delay till 2012. However friends and family have been saying we should just get married and have a quick small do. The other thing that has worried some family and friends is that in July 2010 OH had 2 strokes (only 38 years old) luckily it was in his visual cortex so he has only lost some peripheral vision, no other problems.
Now
Last night I was on the phone to my mum who mentioned the smaller ceremony again whilst on speaker phone. Me and OH discussed it and agreed that now is as good a time as any and that we just want to be married and yes a party would be nice but being married sooner would be nicer. Rang my mum (the financier) back and said ok then how about 22nd December 2010. SO that is how it came to be that I am 5 months pregnant and planning a wedding in 2 months. lol

You will need to look at where you want to get married. It will be 16 weeks for me planning the whole thing and I have had most things done for ages now! It took about a month to do the basic ringing round/ booking! Then it has just been me obsessing - my OH wishes we had got married in August - I wouldn't have been as unbearable to live with!
Being almost Christmas unless you have somewhere in mind you may struggle- unless you just want a registry office do and a get together in a pub/ restaurant!
Congratulations anyway and good luck - one piece of advice is to let people help and not do the whole thing on your own!0 -
That's a wonderful date to be married ~ it's my birthday!
Where will you be married and do you have a lot of things to sort and buy as we can all help! xxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Wedding date Date 22/12/2010
So far today.....
Ceremony Venue - Registry Office - Provisionally Booked
Appointment for notices - Booked 27/10/2010
Restaurant for meal after - Provisionally Booked
We can only have 20 to the ceremony and this guest list has been decided. We are planning on inviting a few more to the meal after to help us celebrate so in total we are thinking of having up to 30 people.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Well I am slightly limited in my options due to being a size 24..... and pregnant lol. So I have found this dress and am planning on having it in red. I know there are some horror stories about these things but I have limited options and have known a couple of friends who have used them in the past so am feeling relatively confident.
I was always going to have a red and white wedding so it fits quite well seasonally.
So excited about notices and everythingDS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Wow, you don't beat about the bush do you lol!!!
So it seems you're basically sorted doesn't it ~ don't forget to wear comfy shoes though, my feet killed me, can't imagne how they would have been if I was pregnant too!
Aww, I'm so excited for you both! :TTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
The dress is lovely Ticklepenny. Good you've got the reception venue sorted as that I thought would be the trickiest thing with Christmas.
If you're into the whole Christmas thing I would definitely pick up this as a theme which will match the dress perfectly. How about some holly in the bouquet?
Otherwise, my advice is don't panic, its all do-able in two months and keep it simple - its about the two of you cementing your family bond.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
