I have WMP(Windows Media Player) 9 series installed on my p.c. with XP Home SP2. I want to upgrade to WMP10. If I download WMP10 from Microsoft what effect will this have on my p.c? Will WMP10 run separately to WMP9 or will WMP9 upgrade to 10 when I download?
I've looked on Microsofts website in their support section and it's about as much use as a chocolate teapot with nothing relating to my question.
Can anyone help?

WMP10 overwrites WMP9.

WMP 11 Beta is available now. It does check that you've got a valid copy of Windows first although as usual this can be circumvented.0
