Hi all just to update you all and let you know Im still alive
Packing is nearly done will move Weds, handover flat on Tues hopefully we'll get our deposits back but theres a bit of damage on a few things.
That'll go towards the moving fund.
We closed our joint account and after bills I have £90 from the account. Our Gas and Electric will give us a bill for the last two weeks as we have recently made a payment so maybe £30-40 so keeping some of it back and the remainder will towards moving too!
So I could end with £350 extra plus what I save......fingers crossed!
Got a nice text from my new landlady who said she has a bottle of wine waiting for mein other words she thinks Im an alcoholic.....:rotfl:
But it was sweet! I have a feeling Ill be happy for the next 8 months in the run up to Edinburgh0 -
Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Im now waiting to move boxes and suitcases packed bar the last minute stuff so I have a box for that. Not a clue whats in each box tho!
So in two days Im pretty much on my own...its all up to me now.
My flatmate has given me a bag of shampoo and conditioner so I dont need to buy anything...just as I was running out of conditioner too. Theres expensive Hair masks in there too...shes not very MSE and has loads of clutter. But it has benefited me!Im grateful for her generousity!
The budget next month means I can save £280 so I will have made my first £500and hopefully more if I get my deposit back!

Thank you!
I have successfully moved into the flat and there are boxes everywhere! My new flatmate is lovely and quite chatty too.
I had loads of stuff inherited from my previous flatmate and she left loads of stuff some of it is going to a charity shop! I can't see myself ever using what she left me!
On the money front I am up to £411but I got my deposit back so that'll be up to £711, so I am aiming for £800 this month I have a bike to sell so I'll see what I can get for that!
So exciting stuff and I am excited at the thought of clearing stuff out making myself new goals and challenges!0 -
Today has been a mixed day, a very busy day at work but got a call from the Council re Council tax and we are getting a refund as we have over paid so thats £55 to the fund, then I called the Gas/Electric Company and we are in credit of £110 so thats £55 in my pocket.
So £110 added to my Edinburgh fundSo when cheques have com in I have another £150 to add to my fund! And I won a £1 on a scratchard! :T

Hi all, sorry not posting. Its been a busy month with quite a few changes.
The first is the move, it all went well and hope to get money back from the Council soon.
I am training for the Loch Ness 10KM run next Sunday and it should be easier than the Half Marathon. I have also been riding my bike to and from work it only takes 20 mins and means I am home before 6pm
The next change is I have met someone nice but its not very MSE as we go out for lunch and dinner but it is nice but I can see us cutting back on the meals, as I have been brave and will be cooking for him on Sat . We have been friends for quite a few months and it turned into something else. Its just trying to find things for us to do thats cheap or even better free!0
