wat a load of bullsh*t
doesnt look like anybody had success
a very big con to create traffic on the website, and then leave the "option" of the £29 room (with every date possible!!)
i got the "invalid rate type" error everytime i tried, wonder if i would have still got an error had i been willing to pay £29??! i reckon it would go through alot quicker anyway!!
i smell a rat!0 -
I got 1 room at £2 for 2 nights
I hope they don't but they have said they will cancel ALL your bookings if you do this.
People rang up and asked about this beforehand (on another thread).
Best of luck.0 -
Sorry I jumped in a bit quick with my post.. I had meant that the weekend £1 rooms were all gone! I agree that it was much easier for past guests to book as you had to keep putting in your details each time you tried.
I hope some mse'rs got some good deals though!
Life is sometimes a bit pants but occasionally you can wear your french knickers!

It was the last time the offer was on, I didn't get a room this time
there was no 1 night restriction then, although I'm sure as people have said with different cards, there are ways around it. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
reading thread on grabbit board NO ONE SEEMS TO OF GOT £1 ROOM ? :rotfl:
I didnt but hey never mind
I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
Tried for half an hour and kept getting invalid type - anyone actually get any for £1?0

I got one room for £29 and one for £59.
I know this isn't as good as the £1 rate, but £44 per night for a hotel of this standard in this location is a lot better than could get elsewhere so I'm very plesed.0 -
I got one room for 4 nights @ £29 including a weekend - that's why I couldn't get it at £1 . I was in a milisecond after it started and there were no £1 rooms for the weekends.
I had the window open with the dates that I wanted and when the countdown finished at 12.30 , I pressed refresh and they were available
Because I had them 'in my basket' there was no hurry to put my details in. I am not a returning customer, who I thought would have an advantage but they don't really as I was a couple of mins putting my details in right and even when I missed out my 'state' and went back, I still had them.
BUT I ALSO GOT 1 room for 3 nights @ £1 per night for my mum, using her credit card, her email address etc, but that was for Tue-Thurs, no weekends, so was only a pound a night****************************0 -

There are lots of people on other thread that got them and some degree of sour grapes from those that didn't.0
