    The email says:

You can only book a maximum of 1 room at a rate of £1. If you have booked more than 1 room at this rate, we reserve the right to cancel all your £1 reservations, even though you will have received your booking confirmation. Please note, it is possible to book more than 1 room – however, we will NOT honour your booking. Please give everyone a chance.

As i want to stay 2 or 3 nights:

Does this mean if I book one £1 room for more than one night they will cancel it?

Also if there are some £29 rooms available could I book one night at £1 and another night at £29?

I also need to know this - as I need 2 nights, but I can't afford to pay for a full price one and a £1 one.

I listened to the terms and conditions on the phone and it only referred to one ROOM and not one NIGHT.
My interpretation of what I've heard and read is that multiple nights are OK and multiple rooms are not.

It said they would cancel additional ROOMS.

I am personally happy to try and book 2 nights, but obviously this is my intepretation.

Yes, I took it at that aswell. When you look at the booking page, it has a pull down menu of how many rooms you want. I think if you put in 2 or more rooms they will cancel it - which is not so good if you booking for 4 people.

I also suspect that if you are lucky enough to get a £1 room, that subsequent nights will only be 'available' at £29 or thereabouts.

I am hoping that I am wrong and if someone who got £1 rooms the first time to clarify that would be great. Can you really get a long weekend for £3 ? Or do you get one night at £1 and the other 2 at £29 kind of thing ?

But as my earlier post said, the site it soooooooooooooo going to crash as MSE'rs alone going on will crash it.

I would be quite happy with one room at £1 and another at £29 (or even £59).

Surely 2 nights in a nice London hotel for £30 or £60 is a bargain, isn't it?

To be honest I think a lot of people are going to be dissapointed.
The site is not going to respond and the whole point of the exercise is to draw people in.

Does anyone know what the standard price is?
I don't seem to be able to get their s/w to work on my home pc.

I would suggest that £60 is an absolute bargain for London. I stayed here in early September when I grabbed a room for £29. In fact, I booked a room for £29 next month. The room is small but very nicely furnished. The bathroom is nice with some decent toiletries and the power shower is very good. One thing to bear in mind is that the bar can still be going until well after midnight. Tea/coffee (Twinings tea bags!) and fresh milk in the fridge is great.

There are some great bars (The Pool, Elbow Room, W) and restaurants on Kingsland Road/Shoreditch High St (particularly if you like Vietnamese food) and it is well worth venturing out rather than try the restaurant downstairs.

There are LOTS of £1 rooms left

It's a bit of a con as you have to go through the £1 room button at the bottom to get them but if you want any nights that aren't left and prepared to pay £29 for them, you have to go through the normal page and can't get the pound rooms left !

    Go get some more !!

whatever I put in I get an error at the final stage, 'invalid rate type'
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
