How are you living, if you have no money?
My teen son did this a few years ago. He walked out of a job and tried to sign on while he found another.
He couldn't get anything for 6 months and when he finally got another job, he owed me LOTS of back rent0 -
My god I cant beleieve how horrible some of you people are being to this poster,
OK, they made a mistake, but they have come on here asking for advise, there is no need for abuse
I thought this was a caring community, it sounds more like a Tory party confrence.
They got a job in one town on a little wage, and they are told to commute,
so all thieir wages go on travel expense,
so they are told to move,
how easy is it t find accomidtaion so easy0 -

Your attitude stinks
you are a typical Tory0 -

i notice that everyone was attacking the op until he revealed he was not a teenager but a grown up who has not made a claim in 46 yrs! peoples perception changes when more details are revealed.
although i feel sympathy for the op for trying to better himself, maybe next time a quick call to the benefits office may help before you pack in your job. good luck in finding a xmas job to see you through.
ps ive assumed the op is a maleBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
you can't get jsa if you voluntarily leave employment.
You expect that naivety from a teenager, not someone
"who has not made a claim in 46 yrs"
Like I said, how have they managed to live? Does he/she have savings?
Have you tried for a crisis loan or income support? I haven't a clue what else to advise. My son lived at home while he was jobhunting and I kept him0 -
I don't want to sound harsh, but times are hard and you have to think ahead these days
