Moob, I undid the cables 'cos I had to move the machine, no other reason.

Mine's not working either - it was working fine - it's gone since having installed Windows updates - it's a laptop btw

I don't seem to have a sound card on my laptop - nothing is found against the device manager

Control Panel>Add new hardware> should find that the card is not installed.

Try that.

Everything is installed - it was working until I downloaded windows update
