I thought these were supposed to be compact. That must be at least 6ft wide (or that man is very tiny). Maybe the design engineers got feet and inches mixed up a la Spinal Tap Stonehenge set.

The product itself is innately a rip-off. Only Apple has enough acolytes to get away with selling something this expensive with such a low specfication, featuring an incredibly slow, almost two generations out of date processor.

Considering that the "Dual Core Pentium" processors being fitted to low rent consumer grade laptops are actually slower than the Intel Core Duos fitted 5 years previously, that's a bit of a bold claim.

Whilst it may be an older generation CPU, it'll still be more than capable of matching current gen lower end ones.

    Nice article
Photos Apple doesn't want you mucking about inside its new 11.6-inch MacBook Air. But once you get past its defences, you'll find that its SSD-on-a-card storage system is a snap to remove.
Those are two of the conclusions reached by the parts and repair folks — and teardown fanatics — at iFixit, who bagged one of the svelte ultra-portable notebooks and promptly vivisected it.
