Paul thanks for the correction. I mean putting money away on a few months. I am not into investing yet so my terminology got mixed up.;)
  • Yes, just decided to ditch it and move out to better paying account - also decided to go to a mutual for peace of mind.

  • So annoying that they didn't pass on the last base rate increase and I had had very good service from them as well.

I have had no problems with ICICI as of yet - seems like quite a few people are worried though. Is the main bugbear the fact that they made the upgradation and this has caused problems? I am sure this is down to teething problems - I'll be watching closely and moving my finds if need be but for now all is fine as usual.

For those using ICICI as a 'stash' for 0% CC deals, who need their money in 3 days, a 7 day outage whereby they cannot (at all!) withdraw their money, even via phone, seems to be to be at least a minor bugbear.

    To answer your question, yes.

Apart from the other day when somebody here reported a problem:rolleyes:, causing a mass panic, which probably didn't help ICICI to resolve their upgrade issues , no! :j

    Hi All.
    Advice neded please.

I am selling house on 10/11/06 and will have 230k to invest for a while which I will need to draw on in about 5Mths time and then periodically for the following 6Mths up to about 180k. (New house build!)

Where am I best putting my funds.

    My immediate thoughts are:-

A&L pay the most but sideswipe you on withdrawals so I figure I should put 100k (Maximum) with them and put the remainder in Icesave and withdraw as necessary and leave the remainder with A&L until (& if) i need it.

Bit mucky that but looks like the best proposition ATM.

    Any other suggestions?

    Any advice gratefully received.

ICICI Bank seem to be very well regarded in India. The share price has increased massively and in just the last three months has increased by a little over 50%

Perhaps in India they know something we don't.

Ie. Perhaps the bank are about to fold and do a runner with all of our monies.:)

I am definitely going to ditch ICICI and take all the money out after they credit my interest on the 1st of November. Although personally I didn't have much problem running my account with them. But I guess it's time to move on......to Icesave.
