Am I the only one that has had no problems with ICICI? Money transfers in and out have gone smoothly0

Further to my own experiences, and the anecdotal evidence of others, I have closed my account completely. The examples of poor customer service and appalling errors have meant that ICICI has lost all credibility in my eyes. They could not pay me enough to save with them again.
They did not shape up, so I have shipped out.

Hello everyone
Loving the board, most helpfull, already benefitted from the free wilkinson sword razor and condoms.
I have recently set up a savings account with ICICI bank and regularly transfer funds from my linked account and have experienced no problems with them. I often use the mail feature to contact them and they always get back to me.
Also use the A&L regular savers account that came with my current account and with interest at 10% you really cannot go wrong.0 -
I opened my account with them in July 2006. I am still waiting for my password to arrive! Meanwhile, they've had my deposit for ages and now I'm writing to them to return it, otherwise they'll be getting a small claims court subpoena - and this time I will go ahead with it.0

That Alliance and Leicester account has this clause which in my opinion makes it a very bad deal indeed, perhaps loosing an investor hundreds (even thousands) of pounds in lost interest.
"No notice for withdrawals although no interest is earned on the account balance in any month in which a withdrawal is made or the account is closed"
Cheers
This savings account is good for medium or long term investment with obviously spare cash of £5000 and over. The problem of no interest paid on any month a withdrawal is made should not bother financial savvy and savings tart army as timing of the withdrawal is very essential by making it on the 1st day of the month after interest has been paid ( if you opted for interests paid on your direct saver account) then move it to another high paying easy access account which as of present time is Icesave.0 -
Also to update, I have not made any withdrawals since the upgrade was made so I tried a scheduled money transfer today to my link account which I have done last night but when I checked my account today balance has been unchanged.
I was worried as previously prior to the so called "upgrade" everytime I made a money transfer it showed straight away that the transaction has gone.
So rang customer services and said that they could not see any transaction was made even if I told them that I had confirmation and payment ID number printed out. They advised me to check my account later this evening or tomorrow morning and said that if it hasn't I'll need to make a fresh transaction.
I'll will let everybody know how I get on. If they fail me leaving them a £1 is the most prudent thing to do.0 -
It is entirely up to your opinion mate. Nobody has lured you to leave ICICI. If you are happy with them then there is no reason for you to leave.
This website and these forums you have read is about giving options to all people and making the right decisions.0 -

OK the people using these forums are probably savvier than most but I have NO DOUBT whatsoever the UK Banks are payng people good money to dream up schemes to catch the Unwary out and this is one of them. The ICICI account also has no Minimum balance unlike the AL's £5000 minimum.
As I have said A&L Direct Saver is not for everybody. It is only to those who can afford and have spare cash to invest on medium to long term.0 -

And to anyone but the most risk adverse, a bog standard savings account is not the ideal vehicle within which to put medium to long term funds.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
