I agree with Paridigm - the police (or is it the CPS?) will have to prove their case in court. At the moment, there seems little if any evidence to support their allegations.

Gethro - a 200 metre gap would give you just under 7.5 seconds to complete the overtaking manouevre at 60mph. At 50mph, you would have over 8.5 seconds, and at 40mph you would have over 10 seconds. Do you have a link to google streetview for the location of the alleged offences?

Probably one of those jerks who thinks they know the rules of the road but don't understand that it's only the solid line on your side that has meaning, and thinks safe driving means 20-30mph in a national limit.

Don't worry about it, just take your documents in within the 7 days & see what comes next.

If they really want to try to see this through you may well be asked to agree to an interview but let's see ;)

Took my documents in on monday to a local police station, she took copys and asked me what happened ,i explained that someone had reported me for apparently Ignoring road signs and overtaking approaching a blind bend but that was all i knew.

Today i got a letter back informing me that the Police enquiries are complete and on the evidence available no further action will be taken in this matter .:T so still got a clean licence :):j thanks to everyone for all the advice
