I'm a sucker for pink.. so I am kinda in love with the Pink Kiddizoom :rotfl:
We did have a very embarassing incident though where my daughter decided to burst in on me when I was getting dressed and take a picture (right now, she thinks a 'bare bum' is highly hilarious') and after being told this was not a good thing to do, we said no more about it. Fast forward 5 months later to a family meal with 32 close relatives. She begins passing around her camera for everyone to see when my aunt starts scrolling through the pics..:o
Wish i'd a) remembered to delete b) continued the diet!!
:rotfl:
OMG!! That reminds me of what happened to me. Midway through getting changed the phone starts ringing. I have my underwear on and holding my newborn baby. Son is obsessed with taking pictures with his 'grown up' camera and yeps,... you guessed it!!
Normally, everyone ends up using that camera, kids take it to nans house, their aunties',.... THANK GOODNESS I decided to flick through the pictures as I'd taken newborn out to register his name that day and had taken lots of pics outside. Saw so many pics of myself looking bloomin awful - especially as I'd put on over five stone during the pregnancy and still had LOADS left! OMG and I was going to lend the camera to father in law that evening as well. :rotfl:
It'll be nice for the kids to feel that I'm interacting even if I'm not altogether 'with it' at the moment. getting them to take pictures and compiling them on the compy will be great. Bless - my son drew a lovely picture, I scanned it and put it as my wallpaper - he thinks the tooth fairy's did it along with cleaning up the house every night when they're asleep!!
Yeps, from all the quotes, I started to think about getting my daughter the pink kiddizoom. How ditzy am I? She's using the samsung, the blue one's in the toy box and there's me thinking of getting the pink one because it looks pretty. and I'm on this website to save money!!
I also agree with the comments made by others who say buy it if it makes the child happy. That's priceless. Sorry for the waffle. To the OP, just buy it if your daughter really wants it0 -

I just purchased this one, it comes with a matching "bum bug" which I'm told is quite unusual. My son is forever taking silly photos on my phone, mainly of him, the floor, the wall, the doors etc so we decided to get him his own tough camera. What impressed me the most about this was the games you can play, the "add ons" to the photos and the fact that if he drops it, wont' break.
To be honest i'm not fussed about picture quality as I think come Christmas day he will love it - and it saves me deleting pictures of doors for hours after he had a go on my phone!0 -
M&S currently have the camera at £50 with 25% off, both pink and blue available at time of posting...0

If your stuck between video camera and camera then i can recommend the disney princess kidizoom camera- it does both and the video quality is surprisingly good. My kids love filming themselves doing funny dances... and then watchin it over and over again.... they sell the camera on sainsburys so maybe if you hold out for the 50% sale you might be able to get it at a bargain price! I got these for my kids a couple of years ago, they were probably 3 & 5, they loved them at the time, they are very robust and the games and picture editing within the camera is simple enough for them to master alone and kept them amused.
They are now 6 & 8 and they are being replaced this year with proper digital cameras, they are good starting point for younger children, but once they are competent taking piccies and can be trusted not to drop the camera they will probably want to move on.
As for the comments about it being left in the bottom of the toybox, I can see this happening with any camera, it depends if you into taking photo's yourself, encouraging the kids to take them on walks in the park/woods, finding interesting things in the garden to snap at etc. I think any kind of camera needs a bit of guidance.:hello:0 -
Hi - I saw this too and was wondering if its exactly the same as the blue kiddizoom plus? Or if it was one of the older ones? If you could let me know, that would be fab! Many thanks :-)
Sorry taken so long to get back to you, only just seen your comment! I think its an older one but to be honest for the price my son will love it! he's not too fussed about anything other than pulling stupid faces!0 -
Just to put my opinion in, I got the pink Kiddizoom camera for my 4 year old for her birthday last month and she absolutely LOVES it. The picture quality isn't that good but she loves it, the good thing is that you can take a picture and then edit it on the camera to put crowns, monkey faces etc on their heads. The video function on it is fantastic and its so nice for me and my husband to watch their videos (I have a 2 year old as well) and to be able to see things from their perspective. The camera also has video games on it which my daughter loves...she's actually a bit addicted to the games, but at least she plays with it!!
Honestly it is the best present she's EVER had. Picture quality isn't the be all and end all whe it comes to kids!0
