They have them in costco for £35 with the case or amazon for about £37 with no case at the moment.
  • im planning on getting mine from amazon for £35 (blue one) and using £20 valued opinions vouchers.
My son has been looking to get one and keeps using my camera so looks like a good idea i hope
  • why not wait until the sainsburys half price toy sale that is happening on the 28th of this month and see if you can get one in that:)
  • Hi Carrie2402,

How old is your daughter? I bought the kiddizoom for my son back in february for £49.99 as he was into cameras - always trying to play with mine - and I thought he'd love this one.
He's used it once. It's so rubbish and an absolute waste of money. He doesn't even play with it so it's languishing in the toy box. My almost two year old daughter doesn't even care for it.
I did however buy the samsung for £69.99 reduced from goodness knows what, in Boots. It was supposed to be for myself but they love it and use it all the time. Even my two year old can take great pictures now and they love uploading them with my help. They love it - really love it. £69.99 is probably alot of money for a camera for a 4 year old and 2 year old but they've gotten so much use out of it and it's always there for them to capture moments that they want.
It's just my view - I'm sure alot of people do think the kids' cameras are probably better for the youngsters but my view is don't bother - get a 'proper' camera!
as for prices, i think Boots does some good prices on them - they've been reduced to £39.99 at one time and you get the points and teh £5 No7 voucher at the moment, or if you wanted to add some more you could get the 1000 points (equal to £10) when you spend £50 over the weekend and get the No7 voucher too.
    Happy shopping!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
have to second the last post, better to buy a good make (cheap) from argos and take out the insurance, if they brake it then you can claim on the insurance. that way you get a decent camera, good pictures rather than the poor versions of the kids makes

Ill third i then lol. I think its crap too. My little boy got one the year they first came out, he's 4 now and we both still think its crap. Its sitting in the toy box up stairs, looking as new as the day it was bought! I just let him have a go of the normal camera. Its actually easier for him to use than the 'kids' one as well!
    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

an even cheaper alternative is what i have noticed some of the children in my daughters school have.
they use their parents old 5mp camera phones as a camera... the sim card is inactive, so no calls can be made, but they can still play games on it and take photos, and has cost nothing at all!

not much help for someone looking for a nice camera gift idea for christmas, but a good tip for anyone with and old phone lying around and a bored child.
  • hi, if you are going to get one make sure it's the kiddizoom Plus - my DD had the old one and it was pretty poor, but then it broke and I returned it to VTECH who sent the new Plus version instead, and the difference is fantastic she has played with it for hours we print the photos and she makes short video clips and it has been thrown about loads by DS and it still works perfectly a normal camera wouldn't the amount of times it's been thrown across the room. think they may be on the 3 for 2 in boots so maybe good if there are other things you want.
