Nice one UnderPressure. I did a similar thing for the budget and it's harder than it looks!0

Agree, Johnson's delivering an excellent response to Osbourne's speech.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0

<Sigh>
And so the Barnett Formula remains in place and the already prosperous residents of Scotland (to judge from the many triumphal reports on here about the continuing house price boom up there) who are also about to get free NHS prescriptions. . .
Will continue to be subsidised out of the national purse.
I understand realpolitik as well as anyone. But that doesn't mean that the amount of money being chucked at Scotland is in any way defensible.0 -
What was the bit about Education Maintainance Allowance? I missed that bit (noisy kids)
I missed it too but according to the ticker tape thingy on BBC, it is going to be replaced by a more 'targeted' support.
No idea what that means though.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Cuts for the poor, cuts for the middle classes, nothing against the richest in the country. No mention of reductions in the tax gap, and no mention of tax evasion.
Tory's ALWAYS choose the easiest targets. Nothing has changed since Thatcher.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

It's the stuff he did not mention in the speech that needs to be looked at closely.
I have learnt nothing about my own area of work that I did not know before the statement.Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists of choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. J. K. Galbraith0 -

Including the one currently there.
This will actually mean that there will then be 4 toll crossings over the Mersey in a space of 15 miles!!0 -
