Well, ours is a new build and we don't. It's not the biggest living room we've had, but 16' x 13' is perfectly acceptable. No, a normal older house, 12 by 15, and HD allows closer viewing than for SD. Blimey, do people really put up with 10x9 ?There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

What platform are you going to use your TV on (e.g. do you want built in Freesat, Freeview HD?) What do you use your TV for? (clue-the answer is not 'watching television'). For example, do you want to play Blu Rays, stream from the internet, etc?
The best (non-budget) brands are generally considered to be Panasonic and Sony, go to somewhere like Richer sounds or John lewis and do your research there.
ah ok, more specifics ;-)
so it will be more of an all rounder that i would be after.
But mostly, it will be used for gaming and watching Blu-Rays.
freeview/freesat dont matter as i think we will be going virgin due to having very poor satelite reception.
thanks for al lthe replies so far.

from past experiances in the area and also we have been speaking to the neighbours about it.
either sky has problems in the area or it has bad reception.
same with the normal tv ariels, back in the day wit hthe terrestrial tv channels, it used to be a nightmare to get ll the channels in a decent picture.
you could usually get 2 channels in perfect picture but th rest were unwatchable.0 -

Not sure what the issue is with the neighbours but you cant have localised poor reception with Sky that would effect an area, your Sky/freesat reception would be fine if correctly installed.
Terrestrial TV aerials however are different and is quite possible you would suffer, goto:

Sorry but no, as long as you can see the correct bit of Sky its not going to be an issue.
There is always the case of trees, buildings etc. blocking the satellite, but not poor reception.0 -
