Because you will be re-asessed by ATOS dependent on how long they feel your current condition may last or when an improvement can be expected.

People who fail the medical arent reassessed at any point.

The HCP has to indicate when they think the next medical should take place if the WCA is passed. The points allocated at the medical arent the only things available to the DM so its still required even if the HCP hasnt allocated enough points to the claimant.

Same answer applies though - if someone isnt entitled to ESA there is no interest for the DWP in having them called to another medical. Their entitlement stops dead unless they appeal (This doesnt lead to another medical) or they put in a new claim (This may lead to another medical but still nothing to do with the timeframe given on the orignal medical report).

I know that full well... my post was on the basis of the OP failing his medical and going into one of the groups. That he would be required to attend another medical based on ATOS's time recommendation

If he fails the WCA/Medical though he wont be in one of the groups.
