Minimum payments won't clear your debt, one of my cards goes down by a whole £3 a month if I just pay the minimum, and another one the min payment doesn't always even cover the interest! It stinks!

But you are doing really well unsavy, avon and ebay should help you a lot.

Have you had a play with the snowball calculator? That can be really motivating. It will tell you which order to pay your debts in to get them cleared quickest. You start with the highest interest one, and pay as much as you can to that, just paying minimums to all of the rest. Once that is cleared, you then pay all of that money to the next highest and so on. It's amazing how much you can save by finding a few extra £ each month.

    You can do it!

Oh my, I cant believe one of your cards only go down by £3 a month. Its so difficult isnt it. Did receive a letter today stating interest is going up and it works out for every £100 the interest is 18p (well thats how I read it, that doesnt look right actually, will need to re read the letter)

Need to spend time on the snowball calculator, I have had a brief look but need to approach it with the figures

Thank you xx how are you?

  • Am just doing a meal plan for this month, batch cooking where I can and freezing the batches, rationing everything, am going to shop around also for the cheapest by searching the supermarkets online first then going shopping.

Have also found some bits to take back and exchange for bigger sizes so they dont go to waste (christmas presents for daughter which she wont get wear out of, she has enough stuff at the moment)

And cleared out 3 bags of rubbish.

  • Yesterday I achieved a milestone - I resisted a trip to the bakers regardless of what I fancied, instead I turned round and came home to have lunch here. I saved money! I thought about money and I saved it.

Also so far I have not used my car this week and dont intend to for places I can walk to now. Need to save money where I can. Also when I do drive my car I will combine things which need to be done on the way so I dont waste going somewhere for the sake of it. Petrol isnt cheap.

My OH is going to give me £100 a month for shopping so this is now a little task for me, to try to keep the shopping bill too £100. That will just be for food. it will be a task and a half but I really want to try it.

Picked some Avon books up yesterday, out of 12 I got one order :( it was a big order though. I did have limited books and didnt get out to do my whole round. Every little helps. Will let you know my progress once I have submitted order.

Well off out for a walk in a minute. Will catch you all later. Have a good day

Well done on your ebay sales! Sorry to hear about the Avon, but it was the first time you'd done it and so there's always time to improve it! I don't know how avon works, but are there any offices or businesses in your area that you could drop catalogues into? We get them here periodically, and people do order from them.
