Without detracting from the main part of this thread - what did your daughter eat for tea yesterday and then for breakfast this morning? Could it be possible she may have caught something from those two meal times?Just because not all of you got sick from those meal times doesnt mean it could not have happened then as only one of you got sick for eating the scotch eggs"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

yes i agree, its not 100% guarenteed its from the scotch egg. i believe i made this point in the last line of my first post. just a little strange she became poorly after consuming frozen sausage meat, egg and mayo.
thats why i put possible food poisoning in the title.3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby, 2 beautifull cats and 1 very large dog = my family!

and so did your husband and other children. Plus your doctor has confirmed it now so best to find out where it came from."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
not very pleasant but, keep a sample of their faeces in a plastic pot and freeze down , if it is a bacterial agent it will be presentI

Food poisoning can be caused from foods eaten up to 72hrs previously
Get EHO involved - Morrisons by law have to be able to prove " due diligence" in the event of an proven FP outbreak at this stage it is only alleged . They should be using proven HACCP proceedures with records to support this. If there are any discrepencies in this EHO will find them
Also as far as your doctor saying your daughter had FP symptoms that will not be enough to prove FP - you wil need a sample taking and analysing to prove which Fp bacteria is present and if that links the the scotch eggs0 -

Not sure how the doctor could have "confirmed" food poisoning without a stool sample analysis, lots of viral gastro enteritis (including norovirus) doing the rounds this time of year. Get a little pot from the GP and get him to send it for analysing whilst you still have the symptoms. If a bacterial food poisoning such as salmonella is confirmed, get a copy of the report and send it to Morrison's. More importantly,I hope you and your family feel better soon.:)Nuts oh Hazelnuts:rotfl:0 -
I too bought 2 scotch eggs from Morrisons today, they were also frozen in the middle.
They must have a lot of dodgy counters/delivery vans.0 -
Get your husband and daughter to squeeze one off in a Tupperware box (ideally separate boxes) and keep these in the freezer as evidence.
Hopefully the doctor might find something in their turds (other than minced pork, egg and breadcrumb)My farts hospitalize small children0 -
if you do use tupperware.
Steralise it first or it could render the results useless as the box has bacteria already on it.
If you have a microwave friendly container. Put it in there for about 1 min 30 as people do with baby bottles.0
