Checked with the organisers with regards tattoos this afternoon as well and not a problem for my project the info was just in general terms and it can be for some of their teaching projects but not for mine, so good news!(Was not looking forward to wearing trousers all the time when the average temp is 38C!)

Got confused, must have whinged about that to people in my office not on here!
They had sent me some info about the project and what to bring, what the food will be like etc and it had said that tattoos must be covered at all times. Not a problem with my lower back and stomach as I tend to wear long tops anyway but to cover the one on my leg I would have needed to wear ankle length trousers all the time which wasn't an appealing prospect. I have checked now though and that applies to teaching projects in schools etc rather than the one I am going to so that's good. She also said if you wear too many clothes the orangutans try to rip them off anyway! :rotfl:
I have been advised by someone who has been previously that being well covered when leaving the sanctuary to go to the villages is recommended so that you don't get stared at and it should be a skirt or dress as opposed to trousers and I'm fine with that.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
It's all coming together Becs! :T
I think it's a good idea for you to not worry so much about the payments for now, much more sensible to get everything you need sorted before you go.
I love the Orangutan name as well, so not fitting that it's great! We expect to see lots of pictures when you get back
