Ok, where shall I start? No heart attacks last night, instead the worst bar fight they've had in there for 15 years apparently!

One guy kicked off at another for saying something about another guys wife and before you knew it about 20 people were fighting!

First I knew as I was on the door, was the security guy trying to bundle the guy out the door. They were both covered in blood and he was slamming the guys head in the door whilst he punched him in the face. When he'd got him out, I opened the second door to get the security back in.

Turned round to see one of the bar maids being thrown across the room, so I locked myself in the box and phoned the police.

Came back out and there was people fighting all over the place - the bar staff were pushing them back as they tried to climb over the bar, bar stools were flying, the landlords sister who is in her late sixties was clinging to a guys back beating him round the head, someone else had rammed someone into the toliets and they were fighting in there and there were strippers running around everywhere screaming. and all I could see was this poor guy in a wheelchair the other side of the room absolutely terrified and I was trying to get across to him, with glasses flying through the air. The guy they had thrown out was trying to kick the front door down and as soon as they tried to throw someone else out he got back in and started trying to strangle the guy who they were trying to throw out! It was absolute mayhem!

Unbelievably it was 20 minutes later when the police arrived and they only sent one person! Considering two other people other than me had apparently also called the police, I wasn't too impressed!

By the time the police turned up the landlord's son had managed to get a lot of people out and start calming it down.

We all sat down and had a much needed drink!

They drove me home after and it took me ages to get to sleep because of the excitement of it all!

This morning it all seems quite funny as it was a bit like a comedy film at moments but I was quite scared and shaky last night.

So my first shift someone has a heart attack, my second shift is ok, and my third shift that happens!

Before I first started I was a bit nervous like I always am before starting a new job and was worried something would go wrong, but along the lines of I would mess the money up or not ID someone I should have.

OH had said what's the worst that could happen?

I've asked him never to say that again cause it clearly invites the universe to get creative!!!

    OMG Bec's!

I can imagine it was pretty terrifying, but when you read your description it does almost sound entertaining!

Will you keep working there? Not every week can be that crazy surely!

It was quite entertaining! At the time my stomach was jumping but when you think about it after it was so bizarre and the added elements of screaming strippers, security who nearly cried and OAP bar staff beating the hell out of people it does become quite funny!

I will carry on working there - I need the money!

Bu next Monday I'll already be over £100 better off than before which isn't bad for only just having started on Sunday just gone.

And on that note - £12 to the loan and £1 to the o/d :)

Night off tonight and just an afternoon shift in my normal pub tomorrow afternoon. Back there again on Sunday night.

Will see how it pans out, but will definitely bear in mind money's not worth it if I think it's getting to dangerous or anything. Thanks Jody :)

    And good news!!! :j

Been accepted for a Barclaycard with 0% for 16 months! Will have to see what the limit is and transfer some of the loan to this if possible, got a few amounts from each loan to play with see what the best way to do it is.

But could potentially save a few hundred pounds in interest! :T

O-M-G!!!!!! glad you can see the funny side - I think I would've run for the hills and never come back! Do be careful though (although of course you will, you're obviously no daft!)

Congrats on the payments though. I wish there was some way I could raise some extra cash to get rid of these shackles...

I would be lost without the extra hours - it would add over 3 years onto my DFD if I had to go onto minimum payments and I couldn't afford much more than those with my salary.

Is the ebay deal with your daughter not helping EB?

It was a normal shift last night so hopefully it was just a one off. Had a bit of an argument with one guy who was insisting he should be allowed to take his drink outside - in the end I'd had enough and told him to pack it in and stop acting like a spoled brat, he disappeared inside quick sharp and didn't come back! :rotfl:
