Is your od fund like savings you would use as an overdraft in emergancies or is it to pay off an overdraft? I'm a bit confused but also can't wait for the day I too can say I will never have o/d charges again - must be a relief :)

    Thanks guys! :)

Hi Kat, it's to save to pay back an o/d. I had 3 and then got a loan which I used to pay off 2 of them and my CCs. I've kept 1 o/d that's on a separate bank account as it's on 0% until Aug 11, so I'm trying to save up to pay that back when that runs out but then also I have the savings to act as an emergency fund in the meantime as well if that makes sense.

Sounds like what our fund is for, it is primarilly to pay of the o/d (reserve) but it's there as an emergancy fund in the meantime - just wish mine was 0% too :rotfl:

Oh no Kat! the Barclays reserves are a nightmare. They snuck them onto both of our accounts (this was pre-LBM) and then we were stuck with them for over a year, costing about £200 a month in charges. It was completely ridiculous, and they wouldn't agree to extend overdrafts to cover them etc  They were the first thing I sorted out post-LBM as they were taking all our spare money, and some that wasn't really spare at all! Hope you get it paid off ASAP.

    Morning Bec's

I'm in a grump as just realised I have a 2 hour health & safety meeting this morning, I just sit there until the end when I get asked if there are any comments from the office, which there never is! Such a boring bloody waste of my time grrr!

    I don't understand what the barclay's reserve is? :o

Oh no Woo, I hate meetings like that - they seem designed just to waste time and I struggle to stay awake!

I'm grumpy too as my Lloyds internet banking isn't working - won't let me log-on :(

I am a recent convert to on line banking and find it really useful, since i don't have much money in my accounts anybody who would hack into it would think " well that was a waste of time", just tried to register my credit card so i can manage that on line but having trouble registering it, think it's because my mum had a weird maiden name that is hard to spell , when i rang the bank last week over a query regarding my credit card it took ages to get through just because of the spelling of her surname, wish it was something like smith. Now i will have to ring up again which will cost me money.

Had a nice surprise from the tax office this money a cheque for £62 of overpaid tax can't believe it cheque in the bank tomorra and payment made off my m&s card.:D
