    Hi becs!!

Well done you!!!! Byyye byeee nasty OD!

And I totally know what you mean as my brain has started focussing on what I want aside from being DF....the more "important" things...1st year in 2011 for me was rock bottom and highest highs - a weird mix, this year I feel like I know what I am doing so I can just get on with it onstead of worrying about it so much. Although as you will see in my diary - I am in the zone at the mo!

Wow beccie you are doing fab - in fact everyone is DF2012 and MrsB too :j:j

Have been reading but not had alot of chances to post - where are you off to in africa if you don't mind me asking ? I'm looking for some ideas for a holibobs for us - maximum time is 2weeks long and i've never been to africa so would quite like going somewhere new although it will inevitably depend on the costs too

Your debt is dropping hugely each month so it really looks like you will hit your target :)

Hi DFW :hello: And thank you :A

I'm off to Limpopo in SA this time - previous times have been Zimbabwe twice and Namibia once.

I don't go on holiday as such as in beaches and hotels - it's always been volunteer work with animals for me, which I would highly recommend (obviously) but it's not for everyone. I would say though that it is like a holiday as it is so much fun!

What type of things were you looking at doing? If I wasn't doing what I'm doing then I would be looking at overlanding, there's some excellent trips available - they are pretty non-stop but they take in some amazing places and they are a lot cheaper as you camp each night and take turns to cook between the 20 or so that will be on each truck. Some of the trips would stop at the place I was at in Zimbabwe (where we walked lions every day) for a couple of hours to see what we were doing there and all the people on them seemed to be having a great time. We had about four trucks stop off for New Years Eve, was an excellent party :D

but at the same time I feel a bit bad that I may not be DF by then.

Don't feel guilty beccie, just think when you come back you will only have circa £2k (or less knowing you ;)) as opposed to £28k. I think you deserve a little treat :j

Thanks Pap :A That's true, as my LBM was when I came back from Africa the last time and there is no way this is as bad as that!

£1 to my mum today :)

I've got a social worker coming to interview me tonight and I'm nervous :o Don't know why! My ex's parents are applying to become foster parents and I am one of their references, apparently it's standard procedure to interview you as well as you filling out the form. I'm sure they are going to be fantastic at it, yet I'm still nervous about being interviewed and I can't figure out why!

you will be nervous for them too - they will put alot of reliance on your interview so you won't want to let them down. It will be fine, nice ppl shine through xxx

Thanks DF, think that's it. I'm really worried about saying the wrong thing even though there is nothing bad I can say about them!

Interview went really well last night, she was actually really nice, not sure what else I expected really!

£15 towards paying back my brother today :)

Cheap weekend for me due to lack of money - round my Mum's tonight, round my friend's on Saturday night and walking the dogs on Sunday :)
