    Thanks DF, I can't stop smiling :D

I know I am still a way away from the end but I do finally feel like the end is in sight and after 10 years of continual debt that is really something :)

With all the stress recently (Christmas with many family issues) it feels great that I am also on track to my DF present to myself - Africa! :D

Have told OH to have a think about what he would like too - I want to get him something really good for all the support in doing this so I've told him to get thinking for Nov. It's going to be save, save, save after that so I think we will both need a treat first!

    Thanks everyone :A

£15 to the loan today :)

Pleased with myself too as I put on my 101 list to exercise every day and I am very behind with that :o So after getting in from my cleaning job last night even though I didn't feel like it I made myself do the yoga meltdown DVD. It was good but my stomach muscles really hurt now!

  • Morning beccie,

Where do you get your energy from :) you are doing so so well that your totally deserve your trip to africa and must report back with photos! I know what you mean about getting OH a treat too as I have the same thoughts but for different reasons. Let us know what OH decides!

You say you still have a way to go BUT I bet that what you have left disappears so quickly! Look where you have come from!!!! True inspiration.

What are your plans for staying debt free when the goal is reached - I know you say save, but will you never have credit again?

I will defnitely report back with photos!

OH briefly mentioned car repairs! I said if that was what he truly wanted I said I would pay but I was thinking more along the lines of a new computer, new clothes etc. Something fun. I will also defnitely be taking us out for a lovely meal.

My plan for staying DF will be patience I think as it's impatience that got me into debt. Wait till I can afford what I want. My thinking being that if I can pay over £1K a month to my debts and go without so much stuff now, how can I possibly say I can't save for something now? Also, although I have plenty of fun along the way, this isn't a situation I ever want to find myself in again.

As we are planning such a big travelling trip as well in a couple of years it feels like I'm planning money in a totally different way - there is no need to buy things, in fact I need to be selling them ready to go!

I can honestly say that credit will never interest me again - the only debt I will be willing to have is a mortgage at some point in the future. And even though I know I will be a mortgage free wannabee! :o:D

£18 to the loan today :)

Why do weekends go sooo fast?! :(

Friday night I had my best friend round for dinner and drinks which was loads of fun. Saturday I worked during the day followed by a quiet one in. Sunday was up early, picked my Mum up, McDonald's for breakfast :D, took her to look at Ipads after. I so want one and will definitely be borrowing hers! Then took the dogs for a walk round the woods. Quick shop at Tescos, then a couple of hours covering at the pub as someone called in sick. Then had my Mum round for dinner then back to hers to pick up a load of stuff she wanted rid of that I'm going to try and sell. 4 or 5 trips to get that lot from the car to my 3rd floor flat, was done in after all that! :)
