Morning Bex, hope you manage to sort it out, these energy suppliers are greedy, my mum just pays when the bill comes because she doesn't like to think they have her money before bill comes he puts it aside every month, I on the other hand don't have the discipline haha :-) I'd be putting it away and then dipping in emergencies lol. The weather has been glorious :-) i managed to tidy my spreadsheets up again if I manage things correctly all unsecured finances should be cleared end of 2013 no date is ever quick enough unless it's yesterday haha :-) xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Hi Beccie
I really don't understand why the electricity/gas tariffs are allowed to be so complicatedI really think the regulator should sort it out, the companies are never going to do it, not while they can leave people on the more expensive tariff and make more money for supplying the same service
Hope you get it sorted out, we had to have our gas meter changed in one of our student houses, and it took months to sort out the overcharging :mad:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
2013 is excellent news Happy
I know Jules, it's ridiculous! Apparently we should be on economy 10 not economy 7, although 10 sounds so complicated, it would save us money. I am going to be putting in a compaint to Ofgem after this whether the meter is inaccurate or not as I feel we have been both messed about and ripped off.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Spoke to the electric people and they said that we can't change tariff till after the checking meter has been installed and removed (it must be installed for at least two weeks, let alone how long they will take to come out and install it in the first place).
I told them that I am not happy that I will be made to stay on a more expensive tariff while waiting for them to sort another mess out!
I said that I couldn't see why when the checking meter is checking how many units are used against what our normal meter recorded mattered. The amount of units is what's important - the amount I am paying for them is irrelevant when it comes to checking accuracy! She agreed their policy didn't make sense!
I mentioned Ofgem - a manager will call me back
And breathe!
