I've decided - I will quite that job once I have raised the £540. I'll allow wages from that job and ebay/surveys etc to count towards it.
If I quit then try to raise the money, I'll probably slack off, if I have to hit target to quit then that should be my motivation
Are you going to count the monthly savings you made today towards it?

Not sure Emz, do you think that's a fair one to count? It's £234 over the lifetime of the debt.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

Are you actually going to be paying those savings off the debt though?
If yes, then count them. If no, then don't!
Your sig is looking quite full now Becs and you've committed to lots of challenges now so you've got to complete them :rotfl:VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
They will defnitely be going on the debts - first thing I do every month after my bills is leave £100 in my account and pay the rest off debts so those savings we be swept straight across with that.
Added in to sig now - got to meet these challenges so I can clear my sig out!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

The end is in sight already
It's amazing how the savings add up - I really thought I had cut back as much as possible but just goes to show.Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I can send them back but think I have to pay too and also would then have to pay postage again to get the right size sent
Fingers crossed that they are a generous size 8!
No mention of rent being raised yet but am ready for it - I've never known them not try that! It's a lovely flat and I'd hate to move but I have a pre-prepared list of reasons why it's not worth paying more for
You can always argue that you're good tennants and you've never missed a payment etc. I've managed to keep my rent the same for 2 years now, and for where I live it's low for a 2 bedroom placeAdam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Sounds like a good plan for giving up the cleaning job Becs, are you on PAYG or mobile contract? If it's contract could you move down a tariff at all? I saved £15 a month when I did mine so over a year it's a big saving!

That's a good point Adam - I'll remember that.
Thanks Jody but I've already negotiated my phone which is contract down to £5 a month for 900 mins and unlimited texts so don't think they'll go any lower!
