I didn't ask her I just let her tell me when she ready.. she looked pretty gutted.

rachelet.. AnWsmum is correct they cannot say a child cannot go to nursery if they are not cmpletely trained. DD3 was 7 before she was reliably dry in the day and ds3 was 6

Look into this as I am sure they can't discriminate against those who are not toilet trained, bet lil_me or piggers will be able to confirm. Miss A was clean when she went but W wasn't (he'd been there months before he was dry, used to send him in a nappy). You can't force a child to be dry, a lot of it is down to physical development and if our experience is anything to go by, boys take longer than girls.

Unfortunately, nurseries are a bit different here in France where I am. They like the child to be toilet trained apart from nap time. Although DD2 started at 2 and was in pull ups for 6 months before I got her completely trained. Am hoping DS is at least part way trained before next September.

Thanks for tips on getting rid of crayon and feltip, will try suggestions after I have decluttered lunch.

    Hi All.

    Happy birthday Macpep,

    with the toilet training Helly,
my boys, (the're 21 and 22 now), used to aim at a ping-pong ball floating in the pan. It stayed clean  and didn't flush away. But it sure does improve their aim, which small boys are terrible at.;)

Rachlet - You'll probably find somewhere legally they can't however to be honest - lie - say he was fine at home, he will probably follow the other kids to go and just have occasional accidents like the rest! I get so in trouble from my friend who runs nurseries but she agrees I am right, in most cases they just follow the leader

Good luck all who are toilet training, don't envy you at all

    Morning everyone,

Happy Birthday macpep - the hotel break sounds lovely.
Valli - You always seemed to enjoy the river thing - hope LSB (what does that stand for btw?) understands. Impressed with the apron sale.

I gave in and deep cleaned the playroom the other day. All they have to do is keep it clean, but 48 hours on they can't even manage that. They are 6 and 7 - surely it isn't too much to expect that they keep the room vaguely tidy? I am binning anything left on the floor at night, soon there will be nothing left. Very bored of having to be mean mummy.

I need to ring the skip man to say it is ready to be collected. Hopefully he won't come before Monday and I can squeeze some last bits in.

Boys room rightly done, just need to hoover and get one of them under the bunk bed to pull the toys and rubbish out.

WM now on fourth load i think. Long way to go yet.:rotfl:

    Hugs for Sally.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
