Good Luck to your friend Dustykitten
Good luck with the toilet training Hellyboo. I have that to look forward to soon with DS. He is 2 in December so I am going to wait until March/April I think before trying, unless of course he shows signs before that of being ready. Need to get him fully trained before next September at least as he starts at Nursery School next September and has to be fully toilet trained before then!
Thanks for all your advice on drying washing in the winter. The stuff that I had put out to dry yesterday were just cold when I got them in and an evening on airers in front of the fire and they were just fine. Have one load of sheets out on the line this morning and the pillowcases on the airer in front of the fire. Think having the items on airers will just have to do and I will have to tidy them away if I ever have guests!
I have another problem today. Whilst clearing up DD1 and DD2 rooms, I have found that DD2 has decided to draw all over the floorboards in her bedroom in felt tip pen and DD1 has decided to write in crayon on her wooden unit.Any tips for getting crayon and felt tip off untreated wood? I have tried wiping it off with one the cleaning wipes I have, but it hasn't really worked. So over to you guys for some help.

:rotfl: So remember this, I thought you was only in it for finding a man in the river so good on you for continuing :A
I *often* joke about finding a bloke - but I started doing this because I enjoy doing things like this. I would be at my happiest mucky, in jeans, wellies and make-up-less. I spent the first 12 working years of my adult life in jeans, safety gear and lab coats...
I once asked a boss to sign my passport application and he couldn't believe how glam I looked in the picture:rotfl:
Anyway I have faffed about on here all morning surrounded by mess, clutter and gibble.

Happy Birdday macpep - hope you have a lovely day!
I'm pleased to report I'm feeling much better today - don't know what was causing the pain, but it's nearly gone completely, which is a relief, as I didn't relish the prospect of an appendectomy at all. I've been off work all week apart from Monday, and didn't get a call this morning, so as it's Moon's day off, we're heading out for a coffee in a bit, as well as to pick up a key from his work, and return a broken electric saw to screwfix as it's still in warranty.
I managed to clean all of the window frames yesterday, and whilst I was at it, cleaned the bathroom light pull (was up on a chair) and decided to clean the paintwork whilst I was up there. Couldn't believe how yucky it'd got.
Well I hope that all the new flyladies are getting on ok, and looking forward to banishing CHAOS over the next few weeks. Make the most of any HHCs (see post one for definition) that come up - they are my biggest motivation.
Moon is calling me as he's been waiting for me to get ready for ages now, so I'd best go and put some clothes on.
Hugs to all who need or want them.

Thank **** for that, they had decided to review ds1s DLA award early - no idea why- anyway just came through as at same rate to January 2013.... Much shorter award than we used to get but means my car is safe! We got it on 4% interest and to finish when DS1s award was due up. As long as they don't want to review again early it stays safe. I don't plan to pay for anything past the award ending so was a little traumatic as I need to car to get him to/from school etc and need a 4x4 or he won't get there in bad weather. A big PHEW!
Right bin bag full of parp gone, on with the nextOne day I might be more organised...........

This will be my third attempt, usually something gets in the way. I was going to try in May half term and then my Mum was seriously ill and in hospital for 7 weeks so we were back and forth to London and I didn't think it would be a good idea to try then! And then I was going to try on the 16th July, the day after all his activities finished for the summer, but then Baby Jake put in an appearance on the 15th! So third time lucky!I have another problem today. Try hairspray on the pen, it worked for getting it out of my carpet. It has a little bit of alcohol in it and apparently that does it. For crayon I usually just scrub it when DS draws on my laminate floor, but I'm not sure what to do on untreated wood, sorry!
Off to pick him up from school, bathroom shiny and kitchen S&S'd. Defragging lappy while I'm gone so catch you later xSo, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy

Happy Birthday Macpep:T
:bdaycake:
Welcome Jules and Jasper. Its nice round 'yer:D
Dusty- I lurve your sig - so nice, positive and well... just right really.
Regarding the toilet training Helly-:o I didn't teach my son to stand up to wee. I just taught him to sit down for 1's and 2's- It wasn't until he went to a public toilet with his dad and then announced loudly "why are they standing up dad? are they in a rush or is the seat cold?" It just didn't occur to me.:o
Flying has gone well this week so Thank You! ladies.
Will be saving DDs bedroom for next week - Yes the whole week lol! As I don't want to go through her stuff with out her there (just feel I would be invading her privacy)- quite looking forward to it actually as I have planned/ sheduled tasks daily ,so as soon as we've done that particular task she gets her bedroom back to herself.
Happy holidays anyone jetting off for next weeks Half term
Luv 'n' Rainbows

Thanks Toochy and AnW'sMum, i lifted the kids last night and when i got home i found hubby at the door in a panic. He though the tooth was gone, Rhys had hit it again i think with his hand or he's been grinding at it too much (he been grinding most of yesterday) he seems to have pushed the tooth back more.
So feel for you , it brings it all back for me. Just keep trying to clean it gently to avoid any infection setting in. Miss A almost knocked one of her teeth out, I was convinced she would lose it but dentist said gentle cleaning and soft food for a few days. We did that and it settled back down and came out at the 'normal' time for these things.
Happy Birthday Macpep hope you have a great day :bdaycake:I have that to look forward to soon with DS..... Need to get him fully trained before he starts at Nursery School next September and has to be fully toilet trained before then!
Look into this as I am sure they can't discriminate against those who are not toilet trained, bet lil_me or piggers will be able to confirm. Miss A was clean when she went but W wasn't (he'd been there months before he was dry, used to send him in a nappy). You can't force a child to be dry, a lot of it is down to physical development and if our experience is anything to go by, boys take longer than girls.
Dusty good luck vibes for your friend and DD
Well hellllllllloooooooooooooooit's Friday. Didn't get up until 9.30  although was woken twice in the night. Miss A has just gone out with her friends and W is about to play on motorbike games on here.
Going to set about CHAOS clearance!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
