Just got the invoice for the roof repair
OK I knew what he was going to charge but I hadn't actually worked out the VAT - I don't mind paying him what he is worth, but I really, really object to handing money to the Treasury:mad:0 -
Pigpen~ your ex really is one! he has been removed of the electrol for your house?
Oh yes.. he was gone last year.. I took him and DS1 off and added OH and DD1.
I've done nothing today other than fold one load of laundry and boss the owners to put it away!
I've bossed children to pick up anything they wish to keep from their floors otherwise whatever is left I shall assume is rubbish and hrow it away at the weekend. Hi all,
Can I join your thread please? I am desperate....everything has gone wrong this year. I had money saved up for our 1 week away and had to use it to clear some arrears for OH as I panicked (stupid i know) and used the money up. but thats not why I have come on here. I started a new job about 3 months ago and I was working full time and everything ( and i mean everything) has fallen apart. The house I am ashamed to say is a pit, I have fallen off the wagon with regards to meal planning, batch cooking, baking etc and have been having far too many takeaways i feel
I am constantly being told by my OH that I am a rubbish wife/person with regards to houswork and I whilst I sit here, I am crying so much that I can just about see to type. pathetic isnt it?? I feel like I really need some friends right now. How can I get organised please? I have never really been organised really in my life and no matter how hard I try.....its never good enough for anyone. please can someone help me turn things around?
thanks in advance to anyone who can help

:xmastree:Jasper, I had to post after reading your post on here. I'm sure toots will send you her welcome PM if she is around tonight, which will explain everything about flylady. My advice is to start small - don't try to catch up on the days that have gone by already this week. Start with your bedroom so that you have a sanctuary to run to if it all gets too much. Set a timer for 10 minutes and see how much you can declutter in that time - gradually increase it as your confidence rises. It'll be tough at first, but you can do it! As for the comments by your OH - suggest that if he were being a good husband, he'd offer to help, rather than sit in criticism of you. Sending big hugs your way!

Evening all
Just popping in quickly to say that the DSs and I are off to a music festival in a well known east coast resort tomorrow. :j We are staying with friends and won't be back until sometime on Monday, when I will make a start on the house, batteries recharged!!!
I've still not made much progress with the house and tonight I've been busy baking treats for the weekend. Victoria sponge and shortbread done, pizza wheels about to go in the oven and some twinks still to do. I'm thinking of making them as a tray bake, though, as it's quicker than biscuits.
Oh, and I must find the code for the car radio. It stopped working after we had a new alternator fitted and I really want to get it sorted before the drive tomorrow.
If anyone is meeting up in this area next week, I'd love to join in. Could you send me a pm, please?
Hope everyone has a good Friday, weekend and start to half-term.
xxx
ETA Jasper - welcome - you've come to the right place! The support on here is great and just reading a bit of the thread often helps to cheer me up. I agree with sexymouse. If two people work full time, chores should be shared (not that it happens here, either). Put-downs have never helped anyone. Hope things get better for you soon.0 -
