Back from schoola nd all I have done is feed DD....poor thing was getting in the car and the door shut on her and she caught her head in the door!!!!! She seems ok, but am going to keep an eye on her.

Got a call this morning from the headmaster offering me another 15 hrs of work.....might only be a month or might be till the summer......I'd rather it be till the summer but if it's only a month then it's a bit of extra money for C*******s.....can't do the welsh classes at the same time, so saving £80 there too!!!!!

Will catch up on the thread then have a look at my list......xx

Can we start the weekend early like now please?? I need it to wind down and do my listys / garden / car, I think it is safer for me ATM.

I have done something really daft regarding my holiday, :o:o like booking too many days, :o:o so now I have to have a visa, and that is going to cost £36!! and there is no way round it, as to alter the flight booking is going to cost even more, I am so cross with myself, thank goodness I worked it out now while checking something else, rather than when I landed and risked deportation!:eek: / a wacking big fine / or a trip to the local monkey house aka local prison.

Pigpen~ your ex really is one! he has been removed of the electrol for your house?

No flying done here yet today. Poor Rhys fell earlier and has knocked a part of his front tooth out and pushed the whole tooth back. He's not in any pain and we've been to the dentist. So DS 1 & 2 are in next month and Rhys will go to, just to check on the tooth. :(

Dinner on now, then run about to clubs all night. Hope my motivation comes back soon.

    Hi Everyone,

Hugs and spoons to all those that need them, just back from my Dads, Thursday is his day. Did some flying at his, so he's all set 'till Sunday when I pick him up and come to ours for Sunday lunch. Nice this weekend, we've got DD home from Uni, (and her rooms all done) :j

Sorted tons of paperwork today, envelopes etc into recycling, only half a ton of shredding to do and OH might have a clear desk.

I felt like I have achieved a little today in my battle against the kids rooms. Still a long way to go and I think I might do some more tomorrow as the bathrooms aren't looking too bad and they shouldn't take me too long to do.

I have a question for everyone. How do you get washing dry in the winter? Last year I used the tumble dryer a lot! But my electric bill was sky high! So am determined to not use it so much. I don't have radiators as downstairs the heating is two open fires and upstairs it is electric heaters. Any suggestions welcome as I put some washing out today as it was sunny, but very cold and I think it took the dampness off the washing but not really dried it. Washing is now on an airer in front of the fire in the living room.

msgnomey, glad you're feeling so much brighter, please carry on taking it easy though!

Rach, I didn't have a TD for most of last winter and it was a nightmare. I only have one radiator I could hang things on and we don't use the radiators upstairs much as the house doesn't need it. The best thing to do is get a couple of airers and leave them in a warm room overnight. What I'd do was leave them in the conservatory until I went to bed, then bring them fully loaded into the LR where it was warmer. And I used to put one in front of the oven with the door open after I'd used it! It does take AGES to dry, but if you turn the clothes every few hours it helps, and if you iron it while it's damp it dries it too. It was sunny and cold here today too, but I can't dry things outside because my garden is in shade this time of year and it just goes stiff as a board and stays wet.
    So, there are these boys,

I put my airers in front of the fire but I do as you do and hang it out, if I can, to hopefully reduce the dampness. I have bought a dehumidifier but it is about as expensive to run as the tumble dryer. When it is really cold I put little things, such as socks, pants, in the tumble dryer.

I usually set the WM to come on overnight, and if it's a dry day, put the washing outside for as long as possible first thing, then if it's still not dry by the time it starts to get dark, or it's a wet day, it goes on the "A"-frame over the bath. I have the internal doors in the bungalow open most of the time so warmth circulates.

    All done for today.
